Answer: Lady Madeline

Lady Madeline, believed to be dead by her brother, is put into a tomb inside the House of Usher. Unfortunately, she is still alive, and makes her way out of the tomb to her brother. Because of her sickness and his fear, both brother and sister die.
2. Which story fits this description: the narrator visits his friend in New York during the dread reign of cholera. During his stay, he sees, what he believes to be, a large and terrible beast. He sees on this beast a representation of the "Death Head".

Answer: The Sphinx

The host, however, soon points out that the beast was nothing more than an insect from the genus "Sphinx." The narrator had actually been seeing the insect climb up the window sash, producing the affect of a large monster.

The box sunk, and Mr Wyatt, still clinging to it, was drowned.
