It is actually Louis and Gabrielle that rescue Lestat, but for some reason Gabrielle isn't even in the movie. She wasn't in "Interview with the Vampire" either, but she shouldn't be in that movie; she first appears in "The Vampire Lestat".

2. Marius makes Lestat a vampire, then Lestat drinks from Akasha and Marius leaves him. Did this happen in the book or the movie?

Answer: movie

In the book, Magnus, a vampire with only fangs and no other teeth, makes Lestat into a vampire before jumping into a fire and abandoning him. He does meet Marius and drinks from Akasha, but Lestat is the one who leaves.

3. Akasha and Enkil have what color skin, in the book?

Answer: pure white

In the book both the King and Queen have pure white skin because they're so old.

Maharet and Mekare are twin sisters who anger Akasha. They once lived in a small village with their mother, also a witch, and possibly many other witches.

Lestat did walk in the sun in the movie, but the only time in the books that Lestat walks during the day is in "The Tale of the Body Thief", and that's only because he's in another body. He never walks in the sun in "Queen of the Damned", and neither does Akasha.

Yes, this is one thing that the film actually got right. They couldn't give Lestat blonde hair, but they could do this.

In the book both Maharet and Mekare defeat Akasha. Mekare cuts off her head and Akasha's heart and brain are devoured. Mekare is the new "Queen of the Damned".

Answer: Daniel

Daniel was the boy who interviewed Louis in the first book/movie; he'd begged Armand to make him a vampire and only when he was dying would Armand do it. Jesse was turned into a vampire by Maharet for the same reason; Mael is very old vampire; and David is made a vampire in "The Tale of the Body Thief" by Lestat.

9. Which character is NOT in both the movie and the book?

Answer: Louis

Louis really doesn't have a huge part in the book, so I can see why they left him out of the movie. Jesse was in both and is a vital character. David really wasn't needed, and neither was Armand (because they didn't give him a big part).

Mael was barely shown in the movie, and looks nothing like he's supposed to look. Mekare is never even mentioned, Gabrielle is never mentioned either, and Claudia died in the first movie/book.

He doesn't have Mojo in "Queen of the Damned", but he does in "The Tale of the Body Thief". He finds Mojo in the body thief's house and keeps him.
