Levine was the heir to the Americana Doll fortune. Sarah and Doc were both along on the journey. Dodgson was the greedy researcher from Biosyn. This book wasn't quite as good as "Jurassic Park", but it was still exciting.

Answer: They were Levine's assistants

Levine had R.B. (Arby) and Kelly assist him as he was planning the trip. In the movie they eliminated Arby completely and made Kelly Malcolm's daughter.

This really irritated me when I read "The Lost World". At the beginning of "The Lost World", Ian says that tales of his death were greatly exaggerated, and that he had only been in a coma for several weeks.

Diego was Levine's guide. He didn't last very long.

Isla Sorna was part of the five islands in a chain called The Five Deaths. Seems like an appropriate name.
