Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Chris Wilton met Tom Hewett and they became fast friends. Tom then introduced him to his parents and his sister, whom he began dating soon after meeting. What was Tom's sister's name?

Answer: Chloe

Chris Wilton was an ex-tennis pro, who moved to London and became a tennis instructor to the wealthy. Chris went with Tom to see the opera La Traviata. There, Chris met Tom's successful and easy-going dad Alec, his opinionated mom Eleanor and smart yet fragile sister Chloe. Chloe fell for Chris right off and invited him to the country house and then other places like the Saatchi Gallery and the movies.

While they were watching a film, they decided to leave and go to Chris'place. That's where they first made love and became involved with one another.
2. Chris and Tom's beautiful fiancée Nola, had an intimate encounter, in the rain. After the countryside affair, Chris described Nola's behavior as cold, distant, and what other word did he use?

Answer: evasive

At the Hewett's country home, Chris met and became quickly infatuated with Tom's fiancée Nola Rice. Nola was a beautiful, struggling American actress. One evening, Chris, Chloe, Tom, and Nola attended an opera together. When Chris and Nola had a moment alone in the hallway, Chris used the words cold, distant and evasive when he described Nola's demeanor towards him. Nola saw no future for them, considering they were both engaged to the Hewett siblings. Later at a party, Chris was looking for Nola and found her making out with Tom.

He felt sick to his stomach at the sight of them.
3. A newly married Chris, frantically searched for a now unengaged Nola. Chris finally spotted her at an art museum. What was the name of the museum?

Answer: Tate Modern museum

Chris figured he'd never get Nola, so he married Tom's sister. Soon after, Tom called off the wedding with Nola. Nola went back to America for a while. When she returned to London, Chris found her at the Tate Modern art museum. In a whisper, he pleaded for her new phone number, she hesitantly obliged and the affair began again.
4. A neighbor appeared while Chris and Nola were kissing outside Nola's apartment. A little startled, Nola said hello to Mrs. Eastby and introduced Chris by another name. What was the name she told Mrs. Eastby?

Answer: Mr. Harris

After Chris and Nola spent time in a hotel room, he decided he still wanted to stay with her longer, so they went to her apartment. An elderly woman named Mrs. Betty Eastby, stepped out of her apartment which was right across from Nola's. The women spoke briefly about the older woman's mice dilemma.

Then Nola told Mrs. Eastby that Chris' name was Mr. Harris when she introduced him to her.
5. Nola called Chris and told him, she was pregnant. Chris suggested abortion. Nola refused to go through that procedure again because she already had an abortion when she was younger.

Answer: true

Chris and Tom's sister, were vacationing at the countryside estate. While there, Nola called Chris and told him, they were going to have a baby. Chris hurried back to her and told her she should abort the child. Nola was firmly against it and admitted that she had an abortion when she was younger.

Then for Tom's sake, she aborted his baby too. She had no interest in a third abortion nor raising the child alone. She wanted Chris to leave Chloe for her.
6. Nola spotted Chris leaving his apartment in London. She called him that night and asked him his location. Where did Chris tell Nola he was vacationing?

Answer: Sardinia

Chris pretended to be away for a few weeks with his wife, on an holiday vacation, that had recently been cancelled. He just wasn't ready to tell his wife about Nola and the baby. Chris told Nola he was in Sardinia. The next day she confronted him when he walked out of his London flat.

They argued in the taxi all the way back to Nola's place. At her apartment, Chris offered financial support for the child but Nola wanted nothing less than him leaving his wife.
7. Chris needed to refresh Mrs. Eastby's memory of who he was. So, Chris recanted the story she told Nola about using a mixture of peanut butter and chocolate syrup to bait the mice because it worked better than cheese for her.

Answer: false

Nola continued to threaten Chris about telling his wife of their discreet affair. Chris felt cornered and decided murder was the only way out for him. First, he murdered Mrs. Eastby, so it could look like a burglary. He knocked on her door and Mrs. Eastby answered with a chain on the door.

She told him she didn't allow anyone in her home. He introduced himself as Chris and reminded her of her pest problem. She remembered then that she told Nola that peanut butter worked best and not cheese. Once inside, Chris told her that Nola's reception on her television was awful.

He wanted to check Mrs. Eastby's television and see if she had the same problem. Mrs. Eastby was about to take her medication when she remembered that Nola called him Mr. Harris. That's when Mrs. Eastby was shot and killed by Chris.

He waited in Mrs. Eastby's apartment and when Nola arrived home, he shot her too. Chris stole the shot gun from his father-in-law's gun collection. He brought it back to the countryside house when he was done.
8. The police found Nola's diary and Chris denied that he would leave his wife for Nola. After Chris left, Inspector Dowd said he wouldn't win what kind of award for fidelity?

Answer: a medal

Soon after he committed the murders of Nola Rice and Mrs. Eastby, he was brought in for questioning. Chris contradicted what Nola wrote in it about him planning to leave his wife for her. After Chris' departure from the police station, Inspector Dowd said Chris wouldn't win a medal for fidelity.

However, he felt that Chris wasn't the guy who would commit murder. The other investigator, Detective Banner, was sure that Chris killed Mrs. Betty Eastby and Nola Rice. He even dreamt of how the murder was done.

However, later Inspector Dowd told him that the old woman's ring was recovered. A burglar who was shot and killed had the ring in his possession. Chris tossed the jewelery into the water, but Mrs. Eastby's ring, bounced off the black metal railing and landed on the cement.
9. Through Chris' own conscience, Mrs. Eastby reminded him of the murder of his unborn child. Chris used the quote, "To never have been born may be the greatest boon of all." Whose quote did Chris say it was from?

Answer: Sophocles

It was very late at night, when Chris woke up in front of his lap top computer. Moments later, Nola and Mrs. Eastby confronted Chris via his conscience. Nola told him he left many clues for the cops to find out his identity. Chris knew it would be only fair if they did arrest him but also felt it would be a minuscule price compared to what he committed.
10. Chris and his wife had their first child together. Chris' father-in-law Alec, made a toast in honor of his new grandson. What was Chris' new-born son's name?

Answer: Terence

In the end, Chris got away with murder and adultery. When Chris, his wife and his in-laws came home with their baby boy, Chris just stared out the window. Chris' wife Chloe and his in-laws toasted to Terence Elliot Wilton. Terence, was not of course, Chris Wilton's first child. Chris knew his luck had left him tortured and haunted by guilt. But he had been lucky rather than good.
