1. Who portrayed Ben McKenna, the surgeon on vacation with his family?

Answer: James Stewart

This was James Stewart's third collaboration with the master of suspense, Hitchcock. The first two were "Rope" (1948) and "Rear Window" (1954), and the two's masterpiece "Vertigo" followed in 1958. Next to Cary Grant, Stewart was Hitch's favorite leading man.
2. Who portrayed Jo McKenna, the musical leading lady of the film?

Answer: Doris Day

Although Day was pretty and had a beautiful voice, she complained a lot during the filming of this much to the dismay of the rest of the cast and crew. This is one of her only dramatic performances, but very well done.
3. The name of the son is George.

Answer: False

The name of the son is Hank. I'm sure it was easy for Jimmy Stewart to remember considering that his best friend was Henry Fonda, whose nickname was Hank.
4. What was the name of the Oscar winning song from the film?

Answer: Que Sera Sera

This song was sung by Doris Day twice in the film. It is a great song that I always find myself singing along with.
5. Where was the setting of this film?

Answer: London and Morocco

Hitch was known for shooting his films on location. While on breaks from shooting, Jimmy Stewart and Hitch would walk around and see the sights of Marrekech. The scene where Jimmy and Doris see the woman with the sewing machine on her head was inspired by one of Jimmy's outings. It was very hot in Morocco and rained a lot in London.
6. Who was the director of the film?

Answer: Alfred Hitchcock

Hitch was known as the master of suspense and doesn't let down in this film. He is one of the only directors in film history to remake his own film.
7. What plot twisting event happens to the couple's young son?

Answer: he was kidnapped

Ben and Jo's son is taken by a couple, who meets them the day before and shows them the sights of Marrekech. The Draytons had taken Hank to London, and Ben and Jo have to travel across the ocean to get their son back. Do they?
8. What is the name of the Frenchman that the family meets on the bus in Marrekech?

Answer: Louis Bernard

Bernard grills McKenna on finding everything out about his life and family. Bernard was really a member of the American FBI and is killed by an unknown assailant in the middle of the hustle and bustle in Marrekech. Because McKenna is a doctor, he catches Bernard and hears his last plea to find 'Ambrose Chapel' in London.
9. What is the name of the person or place that the Frenchman tells McKenna to look for in London?

Answer: Ambrose Chapel

McKenna goes to a taxidermist, named Ambrose Chapel, thinking he has his son. Jo figures out that the name isn't a person, but a place, and the couple goes to the chapel to find the Draytons.
10. Who was the composer of the wonderful score of the film?

Answer: Bernard Hermann

Hermann did the scores for many Hitchcock films and even appears in this film as the conductor of the orchestra at the Albert Hall. Hermann's most famous and most beautiful score was for "Vertigo" where music takes over much of the dialogue.
