Answer: Victoria throws up on it.

Victoria throws up on it when she first bumps into Paul on the train. Little does he know then that this is because she has morning sickness from being pregnant. He tries to wash it out in the bathroom on the train, but it still stinks. Later Victoria's grandmother gets a hold of it and washes it out.

Two men come to sit next to Victoria and are picking on her, so Paul steps in to her rescue. That starts a fight between the two men and himself and all three get kicked off the bus.

Paul and Victoria are stranded out in the middle of nowhere, so there are no stores anywhere near them. Luckily, Paul's sample box of chocolates that he carries (he sells chocolates) has a chocolate that is called a Wedding Bon-Bon Deluxe that comes complete with a ring wrapped around it.

Paul and Victoria are walking up to the family's house through the vineyard and her father, not knowing it is them who are approaching, starts to shoot at them. Her father is a very traditional man and very protective of both his home and his family, so even after he finds out that it is his daughter and her supposed husband, he is still very wary of Paul.

Her father is upset at the fact that his daughter has gone off and gotten married without his knowledge. He looks to his father for support, but her grandfather just welcomes Paul in with open arms. Unlike her father, Victoria's grandfather is more easy-going and willing to accept that his granddaughter has found love.

This stems from the fact that he is a romantic at heart. (We see this when Victoria and Paul have a fight and he convinces Paul to serenade her with a love song.) I also think though that the fact that Paul is a chocolate salesman has a little something to do with it!

He introduces himself as Pete. His father immediately frowns on this, saying that he writes a check every month to Stanford University for a Pedro Alberto Aragon Limantour. Maybe he is paying for the wrong person and should stop the check.

It's a tradition in the family that the married women get to get in the tub with bare feet and crush the grapes. Since everyone thinks that Victoria is now married, she gets to do to it too. Paul gets thrown in there too in the end.

Answer: Victoria doesn't turn on her light.

Victoria and Paul have a fight and Victoria's grandfather convinces Paul to serenade her underneath her window. If she turns on the light in her room, that means she has forgiven Paul. Victoria does turn on her light eventually, but by time she does, Paul is on his way out of the vineyard.

Answer: Walking in the clouds

The family's vineyard is named Los Nubes, which means "the clouds" in Spanish. Thus Paul really has been walking in the clouds. "Walking in the clouds" could also be taken as he was walking in his dreams, because what he experiences at Los Nubes is what he wrote home to his wife about, that he wanted out of life.

The fire does destroy everything, but Paul brings it to their attention that the main stalk, that started the vineyard the first time, is still alive on the inside, so they are able to replant it.
