Answer: Ryan Phillippe

Phillippe, born on September 10th, 1974 in New Castle, Delaware, was cast as Barry Cox. Barry was Helen's boyfriend and hoped to play football for the Dallas Cowboys. On July 4th, he, Helen, Ray and Julie partied to celebrate graduating high school as well as Independence Day. Since Barry was drunk, Ray drove his car and he accidentally hit someone on the road. Fearing they would go to prison, Barry decided they would dump the body into the ocean and make a pact never to bring it up again.

A year later, Barry worked out at the gym one night and noticed a picture at his locker.

The picture contained an image of his car and on the back of it were the words "I know". When Barry noticed someone had stolen his car, he ran out to try and catch the guy but he wound up getting run down. Barry survived and was in the hospital for a short period of time. On the one year anniversary of Ray running down the guy, Barry watched over Helen to make sure she was safe.

However, Barry was killed by a man who used a hook to gut his victims. Phillippe starred in the movies "Cruel Intentions" and "Crash". From 1992 to 1993, he portrayed Billy Douglas on the ABC soap opera, "One Life to Live".

Gellar, a native of New York City, portrayed Helen Shivers. Helen participated in a pageant at the beginning of the film and she mentioned how she aspired to move to New York City to be an actress. On the one year anniversary of Ray running down the guy, Julie went to the Shivers' family store to ask Elsa, Helen's sister, if she could have Helen's number in New York. Elsa told her Elsa did not have a New York number and Julia discovered that Helen worked in the fragrances department of the store. Julie asked Helen what happened to New York and Helen responded that she went there but things did not work out. Midway through the movie, Helen awoke one morning and was terrified to see that much of her hair had been cut off by the killer while she slept. Near the end of the movie, Helen encountered the killer and ran from him but he eventually caught up to her and killed her. Gellar was in the film "The Grudge".

She is best known for her roles of Buffy on the primetime TV show "Buffy the Vampire Slayer", and as Kendall Hart on the ABC soap opera "All My Children".

She won a Daytime Emmy in 1995 for her work on "All My Children". On September 1st, 2002 she married her "I Know What You Did Last Summer" co-star, Freddie Prinze, Jr.

Answer: Freddie Prinze, Jr.

Prinze, Jr., born in 1976 in Los Angeles, California, landed the role of Ray Bronson. Ray was distraught when he got into a car accident by hitting someone on the road and Barry yelled at him for what he did. Ray assured Barry that the person came out of nowhere and that he did not see him.

A year after the accident, Ray was seen working as a fisherman when Helen, Barry and Julie visited him. Julie and Ray spoke in private and Ray asked her how school went but Julie did not answer him since she commented on him being a fisherman.

After Barry had been run down when the killer drove his car, he noted that the killer wore a slicker and then he stated how Ray owned a slicker. Ray told him he would not accuse him of being the killer. When Julie went to go see Ray near the end of the movie, she noticed he had a boat named Billy Blue.

At the end of the movie, Ray fought off the killer, Ben Willis, on his boat and saved Julie's life. Prinze, Jr. reprised his role of Ray Bronson in "I Still Know What You Did Last Summer".

He also played characters in the movies "She's All That" and "Head Over Heels".

Hewitt played Julie James. Julie was seen a year after the accident getting ready to go home for the summer and a friend of hers drove her to her mom's house. Julie received a letter when she got home and it simply said on it, "I know what you did last summer". Julie panicked and told Ray, Barry and Helen about it the next day. Julie mentioned that the person they ran down was named David Egan since his body was caught in a shrimp net and how she read about it in the newspaper. Midway through the film, Julie and Helen researched David over the Internet and saw an obituary which stated he was survived by a sister, Missy Egan. Missy did not live too far away from them so they decided to pay her a visit.

In the movie's final scene, Julie was seen talking on the phone to Ray at the school shower one year after they successfully fought off the killer.

She told Ray that she had to go since she was going to take a shower. She got a letter which frightened her but she was relieved that it was an invitation to a pool party.

Hewitt reprised her role of Julie James in "I Still Know What You Did Last Summer". She also starred in the films "House Arrest" and "Can't Hardly Wait".

Answer: Muse Watson

Watson, born on July 20th, 1948 in Alexandria, Louisiana, was cast as Ben Willis. Ben was the father of Susan Willis and he blamed her fiancé, David Egan, for her death in a car accident. He killed David Egan but David's death was not seen in the film.

In the film's final scene, Julie falsely believed Ray was the killer and she ran from him but Ben was there and knocked Ray out cold. As Ben did not have his hook and his slicker jacket on at that particular instance, Julie did not know right then and there he was the killer. Julie told Ben she needed to call the police so he instructed her to go onto his boat and use the phone there.

When Julie was on Ben's boat, she noticed a bunch of pictures of her and her friends and some newspaper clippings. Ben spoke to her and asked if she was in trouble and Julie said she was. Ben then revealed he was the killer and Julie ran from him. Ben was last seen when he was about to kill Julie with a hook but Ray stepped in and pressed a lever which caused Ben's hand to be caught in some rope.

The rope dragged Ben up the boat, his hand went through a metal device and was cut off, and Ben dropped into the ocean. The law enforcement authorities only found his severed hand and not Ben's body but they assured both Ray and Julie his body would likely turn up. Watson guest starred on the TV series "Castle", "Cold Case" and "The Mentalist".

Answer: Deborah Hobart

Hobart, a native of Georgia, had the minor role of Mrs. James. Mrs. James was Julie's mother and welcomed her home when she prepared a dinner for the two of them consisting of fish. Mrs. James asked her how the dinner was but Julie looked down so her mother asked her if she was on drugs. Julie looked at her peculiarly and then informed her she was not on drugs. Mrs. James asked her what the matter was but all Julie said was she had a rough year. Mrs. James gave Julie a letter and asked her what it said but Julie would not tell her. Hobart starred in the movies "The Notebook", "Something to Talk About" and "Fluke".

Quint landed the small role of David Egan. David was distraught over the loss of his fiancée, Susan Willis, and he reflected on their love on the one year anniversary of her death at the sight where she died. This was the only scene in the movie where David appeared but he was discussed in subsequent scenes.

When Julie and Helen went to see his sister, Missy, she mentioned that she had a younger brother named David who graduated high school in 1992 but died the previous July. Julie saw Missy a second time and Missy gave her a note which David had written which said, "I will never forget last summer", leading Missy to believe he killed himself. Quint had parts in the films "Boogie Nights", "Attraction" and "Floating".

Wilson, born in 1973 in Gold Beach, Oregon, landed the role of Elsa Shivers. Elsa was Helen's sister and was put in charge of the operations at the family store. She was seen working at the store one day and advising a couple employees to be careful with certain items since they were made of glass.

She saw Julie walk in and ask about Helen so Elsa informed her that Helen worked in the fragrances department at the store. In her next scene, she went to Helen's bedroom to ask her to come to the store the next day since they were doing inventory.

Helen stated she could not make it since she had to participate in the July 4th parade. As Elsa was getting ready to leave the store on the night of July 4th, she noticed Helen banging on the door to open it up since Helen was being chased by the killer. Elsa got the keys and opened the door on time to prevent Helen from being killed.

When Elsa went to lock the back door, the killer used his hook to kill her. Wilson guest starred on the TV shows "CSI: Miami", "Jake in Progress" and "Frasier".

Answer: Johnny Galecki

Galecki, born on April 30th, 1975 in Bree, Belgium, was cast as Max Neurick. Max approached Julie at a party on July 4th and asked her if he could take her out for a night on the town that evening. Julie said no and then Barry came along and fought with Max. Ray broke up their fight and then Julie said goodbye to Max.

In Max's next scene, he drove home and noticed Barry's car all banged up so he asked Julie what the matter was. Julie told him that Barry had too much to drink and lied that the car was damaged since Barry got into an accident while driving drunk.

After Julie informed Barry and Helen about the letter she received, Barry stated that Max likely sent it since he was there the night of the accident. Barry went to confront Max and told him to leave them alone but Max denied sending Julie the letter.

In Max's final scene, he was doing some work down at the docks and the killer cut open his throat with his hook, killing Max. Galecki had guest starring stints on the TV series "Hope and Faith", "My Boys" and "My Name is Earl".

Answer: Anne Heche

Heche, a native of Aurora, Ohio, portrayed Missy Egan. Missy noticed Julie and Helen looking into her home and Julie told her that her car broke down and she needed to use her phone. Missy invited Julie and Helen into her home and told Julie where the phone was. Missy introduced herself to the two women and informed them that she lived alone. Once Missy told them that her brother, David, had died, Julie and Helen inquired if any friends of David visited her after his death. Missy mentioned that one man named Billy Blue paid her a visit and she stated how he looked uncomfortable around her.

In Missy's next scene, she was cutting open some fish and spoke to Julie about how she knew that David killed himself. Julie asked her how she knew that, so she showed Julie a note David wrote which led her to believe he committed suicide.

When Julie saw the note, she informed Missy that it was actually a death threat and then told Missy how they were involved in a car accident with David the previous July 4th. Julie stated how she saw a tattoo on his right arm so Missy told her that David did not have a tattoo and yelled at Julie to leave her home.

Heche starred in the movies "Six Days Seven Nights", "Wag the Dog" and "Volcano".
