Question 1 of 10
1. As we move to exhibit number one, we notice that the artist depicts two men fighting. One is clearly a Caucasian, whilst the other is clearly of African descent. On the picture next to it, the artist seems to have scratched a line above the picture indicating the number one. The picture next to it has the Caucasian man standing with his hands in the air, while the other is on the floor. I remember this film. It is my favorite film. What movie do scenes like these occur in? Hint

Question 2 of 10
2. The next cave painting we go to is hidden deeper within the Bruce Cave System. We step into the chamber that houses the picture and we are amazed. The picture, although pretty crude, depicts a snowy terrain where tiny flying creatures are battling giant four-legged beasts. The weapons the tiny beasts use seem to be little more than harpoons, or perhaps they are tow cables. What movie is this a scene from? Hint

Question 3 of 10
3. Amazed at the intricacies of the cave paintings, we head even deeper into the depths of the Bruce Cave System. We come across a room that has not yet been discovered. Inside we see a series of cave paintings. The first painting depicts some sort of an authority figure being killed. The next painting shows him rising from the dead in a special suit and the final painting sees him defeating the figure who killed him in the first picture. I know this film, it is a series of events from my third favorite film of all-time. What movie has events such as these? Hint

Question 4 of 10
4. As we explore the interesting caves, we fall through a hidden trapdoor into a deeper level of the caves. We see another chronological set of paintings in a room filled with skeletons. We look at the paintings. The first painting depicts a man running from what seems to be a pregnant lady. The next painting sees the man jealous of another man near the lady, and the final painting sees him finishing a run by running into the arms of the lady seen in the first painting. This is from a comedy film I remember. What film did these events occur in? Hint

Question 5 of 10
5. We look around and we see a passageway leading to another area. We walk inside and there is yet another series of paintings. The first picture shows a man in what appears to be a musical band. Many people are around him. The second picture shows the same man alone. The third picture shows a lady helping him. The final picture shows this man playing his music with many people watching him once again. These are events from my fifth favorite film ever made. What movie did events such as these occur in? Hint

Question 6 of 10
6. After viewing some of the amazing pictures we head deeper into the caves, as there is no way back. Needing a rest we lean against the cave wall and accidentally break through the wall into another room filled with artifacts and cave painting. This room only has one picture, but it pretty much summarizes the quest of my sixth favorite movie. A man with a hat and a whip is seen holding a special cup and is giving the liquid in it to an older man, who appears to be his father. What movie does this occur in? Hint

Question 7 of 10
7. As we walk around in the ancient chamber, we trip over an old pot. We pick up the pot and see some drawings on it. After looking at the events depicted on the pot in chronological order, we know exactly what movie this depicts. The first picture shows a man fighting some people at a place containing lots of food. The second picture shows him fighting with a weapon that looks two sticks on a chain. The third picture shows him fighting a powerful man. The final picture shows him killing the other man. The final picture also shows that the dead man also has a broken right arm and leg. These events are from what famous martial arts film? Hint

Question 8 of 10
8. After hours of walking, we seem to be lost in the depths of the cave. We continue to walk along and we come across a water-flooded chamber. We need to swim underneath the water, because there seems to be some light on the other side. After swimming through the water, we stop and admire another cave painting. In the painting, we see what looks like a team of hammers and sickles playing a game, like hockey, against a team comprised of stars. Above the painting is a few scratches indicating points. Apparently the stars beat the hammers, which is an important enough event to be scratched on a cave painting. What movie does the event in question come from? Hint

Question 9 of 10
9. Knowing that we must be near the exit of the cave, we continue towards the source of the light. We look to the left and notice a chamber with more skeletons and artifacts. We also notice another cave painting. This painting shows a giant star-like mass firing a beam of green light at a planet. Apparently, the mass brings death to anything it fires its beam on. Wait a second, I remember this event from a 1977 film. Which film is it? Hint

Question 10 of 10
10. As we approach the previously undiscovered exit of the "Bruce Cave System", we notice a final cave painting. It shows a winged man, that kind of looks like an angel. The man in the picture jumps from a height and loses his wings in the next section of the picture. I remember these events from a rather moving film starring Nicholas Cage and Meg Ryan. Which movie is this? Hint

Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. As we move to exhibit number one, we notice that the artist depicts two men fighting. One is clearly a Caucasian, whilst the other is clearly of African descent. The picture next to it has the Caucasian man standing with his hands in the air, while the other is on the floor. I remember this film. It is my favorite film. What movie do scenes like these occur in?

Answer: Rocky II

The African-American man in the painting represents Apollo Creed and the Caucasian man represents Rocky Balboa from the "Rocky" series of films. Apollo Creed is played by Carl Weathers and Rocky Balboa is played by Sylvester Stallone. The second "Rocky" film, released in 1979 is my favorite film of all time.

It features a fight between Rocky and Apollo, just like in the painting. It happens to be a rematch from the first film. Apollo wants the rematch because he did not beat Rocky badly enough in their first fight.

The second part of the cave painting also shows an event in the film. In the 15th round, both Rocky and Apollo tumble to the canvas. As they try to get up, the countdown goes on. Rocky stands up with one second left to go while Apollo drops back down to the ground. Rocky then raises his hands up in triumph, just like in the painting.

Answer: Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back

The cave painter likely thought that the Snowspeeders from 1980's, "The Empire Strikes Back", were simply flying animals. The four-legged beasts are indefinitely the Imperial AT-AT Walkers that are the focus of the film's major battle. The scene the painting shows is the Battle of Hoth.

There the Rebel Snowspeeders battle the incoming Imperial AT-ATs. Because the AT-ATs are too shielded, Luke Skywalker thinks of the plan to trip them, using the harpoons and tow cables attached to their Snowspeeders. Even though the rebels lose the battle, they give themselves the time needed to escape.

Answer: Robocop

The 1987 film, "Robocop" stars Peter Weller as Officer Alex Murphy. Early in the film, Murphy is shot and killed by Clarence Boddicker and his gang of criminals. An law enforcement company uses Murphy's dead body to make their experimental super-cop. In his special grayish-blue suit, Murphy eradicates most of the crime in the city. One of the last events of the film sees Murphy getting his revenge on the man who killed him.

After killing all of Clarence's henchmen, Murphy stabs Boddicker in the neck with his data uplink device. Needless to say, a stab to the neck is an instant death sentence.

This is from a comedy film I remember. What film did these events occur in?

Answer: Run Fatboy Run

Dennis Doyle, played by the always funny Simon Pegg, is a real loser in the 2007 film "Run Fatboy Run". At the beginning of the film, he runs away from his pregnant wife, on what would turn out to be their wedding day. The act leaves both of them feeling very unhappy.

When Dennis Doyle's ex-fiancee begins seeing another man, who happens to run marathons, Dennis vows to run a marathon for her. Dennis' ex-fiancee's new boyfriend is not even able to finish the race. The man even tries to sabotage Dennis' marathon attempt by tripping him during the race.

When the replay is shown on the family TV, Dennis Doyle's ex-fiancee leaves the bad man and waits at the finish line for Dennis. As he sees her there, he is motivated to sprint past the finish line, right into her arms.

The final picture shows this man playing his music with many people watching him once again. These are events from my fifth favorite film ever made. What movie did events such as these occur in?

Answer: Music and Lyrics

"Music and Lyrics" is a 2007 film starring Hugh Grant, as Alex Fletcher, and Drew Barrymore as Sophie Fisher. In the film, Alex is an 80's pop-star, whose best years have more than passed him by. He is one of the most popular men in the music world, but after his band-mate, Colin, leaves his band, Alex's career is ruined.

It all changes when an eccentric lady, hired to water his plants shows up. She tells some unique lyrics to Alex, and together they think of a brand new song. The experience of song-writing drives Alex to reclaim his former glory and become a big star once again.

Needing a rest we lean against the cave wall and accidentally break through the wall into another room filled with artifacts and cave painting. A man with a hat and a whip is seen holding a special cup and is giving the liquid in it to an older man, who appears to be his father. What movie does this occur in?

Answer: Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade

"Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade" is the third film in the "Indiana Jones" series of films. In the film, Indy, who is played by Harrison Ford, must find the Holy Grail, otherwise known as the "Cup of Christ". With an adventure spanning a desert, Venice, and even the heart of Nazi Germany, Berlin, Indiana finds himself in a predicament when his father, played by Sean Connery, is shot in the building that houses the grail. With his father dying, Indy acts fast to retrieve the Grail and give it's life-giving liquid to his father.

After Indy saves his father, a foolish Nazi woman tries to escape with the Grail, but all that happens is that the temple they are in collapses. Indy, his father, and two of his other friends escape the building and ride off into the sunset.
7. As we walk around in the ancient chamber, we trip over an old pot. We pick up the pot and see some drawings on it. After looking at the events depicted on the pot in chronological order, we know exactly what movie this depicts. The first picture shows a man fighting some people at a place containing lots of food. The final picture also shows that the dead man also has a broken right arm and leg. These events are from what famous martial arts film?

Answer: Return of the Dragon

"Return of the Dragon" is my favorite of the Bruce Lee films. In it, Bruce Lee's character, Tang Lung, is hired to protect his family's Chinese restaurant in Italy. One of his first fights in the movie takes place within the restaurant, just as the pot depicts. During his second fight, also at the restaurant, Bruce Lee utilizes dual nunchucks, essentially a weapon comprised of two hard pieces of wood held together by a loose chain. Because of Bruce Lee's victories against the thugs, the thugs hire an American fighter, named Colt, to defeat Bruce's character. Colt is played by a young Chuck Norris. Colt fights hard against Bruce Lee but falls short of his goal. Bruce Lee breaks Colt's right arm and leg.

Despite the crippling blows, the man continues to attack. Bruce Lee ends up breaking the character's neck.

As a sign of respect for the man's undying fight, Bruce Lee drapes Colt's martial arts uniform over his dead body.

Answer: Miracle

"Miracle" is a hockey film that accurately depicts the real life events of the 1980 Lake Placid Winter Olympics. The primary focus is on the USA's "Miracle on Ice" hockey team, coached by Herb Brooks. In the film, Herb is played by Kurt Russell. The movie has him picking his team and training them to be ready to face off against the deadliest team in the world - the Soviet Union.

At the end of the film, the Americans pull off an amazing upset and win the game, prompting the announcer to ask the question, "Do you believe in miracles?" In the movie, and in real life, the Americans go on to win the gold medal by defeating Finland in the final game.

Interesting how a ten-thousand year old cave painting manages to depict that.

Answer: Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope

"Star Wars: A New Hope" is the first film of the famous six film series ever released. Starring Harrison Ford, Alec Guinness, Mark Hamill and Carrie Fisher, the film takes place "A long time ago, in a galaxy, far, far, away." The focus of the cave-painting is clearly the Death-Star, Darth Vader's ultimate weapon.

The beam it fires is capable of destroying any planet. In fact, in the film, Darth Vader's men destroy Princess Leia's home planet of Aldaraan, to make her tell them where the rebel base is.

In the final battle of the film, Luke Skywalker pilots his X-Wing fighter into the trench of the Death-Star and fires his proton torpedoes, destroying the evil mass. A new version of the Death-Star is built in 1983's "Return of the Jedi" and it proves to be a much more difficult Death-Star to destroy.

Answer: City of Angels

"City of Angels" stars Nicholas Cage and Meg Ryan. Cage plays an angel named Seth Plate. His job is to take away recently deceased people to Heaven. While a doctor named Maggie, played by Meg Ryan, is performing an operation on someone, she apparently looks right at him, even though Seth should be invisible. Seth falls in love with Maggie and learns, from a fallen angel, that in order to be with her, he would have to take the plunge. Seth climbs to the top of a construction site and jumps.

He loses his angel status, but he can finally be with the woman he loves.

Unfortunately, merely a day after finding her, she is killed by a semi-truck. Perhaps he was attracted to her because he knew she would die, or maybe he really loved her. The mystery is left ot the viewer.

In my opinion, this is a very great, very moving film I would recommend to anyone.
