Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. What wakes the Fosters up right at the start of the movie?

Answer: Their children

As the movie starts, we see a door open into a dimly light hallway, and follow the person who comes out of the room down the hallway into the Fosters' bedroom. The shot changes to show the face of their son, Oliver, who says "Dad, Mom, can I have breakfast?" before his little sister Charlotte runs into the room, jumps onto the bed, and "piledrivers" both of her parents! Phil looks at the clock which shows that it just before 5am!
2. Brad tells Phil that he and his wife are splitting up. Which movie character does Brad use as an analogy for the relationship he and his wife have?

Answer: Long Duk Dong from "Sixteen Candles"

Brad and his wife, Haley, have both identified that their relationship is without variety - they play the same roles in the same routine day in day out, and there's no breaking out of it. Brad likens it to the character Long Duk Dong from "Sixteen Candles", prompting Phil to provide the actors name - Gedde Watanabe. Brad continues by saying that no matter how hard he tries, the actor will always be Long Duk Dong.
3. What is the name of the restaurant the Fosters drive all the way into the city to try to get a meal at?

Answer: Claw

In an attempt to shake up their rather samey lives, the Fosters decide to do something different on this particular date night, and head into the city to try to get a meal at the rather swanky Claw restaurant. Despite not having a reservation, they manage to get a table by pretending to be the Tripplehorns when Phil says "that's us" to the server who is looking for that couple to advise them that their table is ready.
4. Which member of the Black Eyed Peas is at the restaurant?

Answer: will.i.am

As they settle in to the Tripplehorns' table in the Claw restaurant, Phil and Claire play their usual date night game of trying to guess the "story" behind some of their fellow diners. Phil suggests that a particular couple are a record producer with an act that he wants to sign, before Claire recognises that the gentleman is actually Black Eyed Peas member will.i.am. Phil then suggests that Claire should walk over to will.i.am's table so he can get a photo, which she does, and Phil manages to capture a great shot!
5. Phil and Claire are forced to leave the restaurant by two thugs who believe they really are the Tripplehorns and that they have the flash drive that belongs to their boss Joe Miletto. Finally realising that they are in serious danger, Phil lies and says that he does have the flash drive. When asked where it is, what does Phil reply?

Answer: The Central Park

Clearly shaken and fearing for the lives of both himself and his wife, Phil nervously says that the flash drive is in the park. When asked to be more specific, Phil says "The Central Park", to which one of the thugs says "Okay, this is what's gonna happen. We're all gonna take a little field trip to the Central Park, and you're gonna show us exactly where it is. Okay?".

The thugs then force Phil and Claire into a car and drive to Central Park.
6. What does Claire call the flash drive?

Answer: Computer Sticky Thing

Having escaped from Miletto's thugs, who they subsequently discover to be cops, Phil and Claire discuss what they are going to do next. Phil suggests that they find the Tripplehorns, recover the flash drive, and return it to Joe Miletto to save their lives. Claire says that she has just one question, and that Phil should not judge her, and then asks "What is a flash drive?".

When Phil enlightens her, Claire responds "Oh, it's a computer sticky thing? That's ... in my office we call it a computer sticky thing".
7. Whilst having a heart-to-heart in the car they have stolen from Holbrooke Grant, who does Phil say his fantasy woman is?

Answer: Cyndi Lauper

Having gone through so much already this evening, both Claire and Phil open up about their relationship. Claire expresses how much she does for the family every day, to which Phil responds that he know she works hard, but that it could be made a lot easier if she just let him do things some of the time, even if he does get it wrong occasionally.

He asks if Claire ever thinks about leaving him, to which Claire replies no, but sometimes she fantasizes about just being alone, so that her day doesn't depend on how everybody else's goes. Phil then says that his fantasy is present day Cyndi Lauper, to which Claire responds "Well, it's an interesting choice".
8. As well as the car, what else did the Fosters steal from Holbrooke's apartment?

Answer: A gun

Having used Holbrooke to find out where Mr Tripplehorn (a.k.a. Thomas Felton) lives, Phil and Claire break into Felton's apartment and start rummaging around, trying to find the flash drive. They are not very subtle, or quiet, and soon Felton and his girlfriend, Whippit, enter the room. Felton punches Phil in the face and Whippit grabs Claire's hair.

As Felton starts shaking Phil and demanding to know what they are doing in his apartment, Phil pulls out the rather old fashioned gun that we saw in Holbrooke's apartment earlier in the movie, causing Felton to back off, and allowing Phil and Claire to interrogate them about the Joe Miletto flash drive situation.
9. What is the name of the club, owned by Joe Miletto, in which the incriminating pictures of DA Frank Crenshaw were taken?

Answer: The Peppermint Hippo

Phil and Claire decide that they need to get into The Peppermint Hippo to continue to try to get themselves out of their awful mess, so Claire pretends to be a new girl who is starting that evening, threatening the doorman that she would call Joe Miletto and tell him that the doorman made her late if he didn't let her in.

The ruse works, the Fosters get into the club, and manage to track down Crenshaw.
10. Where do Phil and Claire finally enjoy a meal at the end of the movie?

Answer: A diner

Having helped Detective Arroyo and the NYPD take down Joe Miletto, DA Frank Crenshaw and the two dirty cops, Phil and Claire enjoy pancakes and orange juice in a simple diner. Reflecting on the night they've had, and the lives they normally lead, Phil declares "I'd do it again, you know". Claire responds "What, tonight? No.

It was very dangerous". Phil then clarifies what he means by saying "No, not tonight. Us. You, me, the kids, all of it. I'd do it again. I'd choose you every time".
