That was one of the funniest parts of the whole movie! As an interesting note, that airport is actually the Salt Lake airport in Utah.

The first time that was shown was just about ten or fifteen minutes into the movie, after they had both come home. Harry sat down in his chair and Lloyd went to the refrigerator and snagged them both a Bud Light. Another interesting note is that in that scene, after Harry threw his bottle cap on the floor, in different shots, the cap moved to different places on the floor.

They were both in the bathtub together and they were talking about Harry's sweatheart, Fraida Feltcher, from his school, Cranston. In that part, when Mr. Mentalino was outside in a phone booth in the parking lot talking to Nicholas, there was an annoying guy outside the booth repeatedly telling him to get off the phone.

When Mr. Mentalino lured the guy closer to the glass and punched him in the face through the glass, there were no special effects or any trickery involved. He really punched him and the guy said that it hurt.

When Mr. Mentalino stepped outside to make a phone call to Nicholas saying he was going to dump a little rat poison into their Shirley Temple, Harry and Lloyd put a bunch of atomic peppers in his burger. When he came back and took a big bite out of it, it was so hot to him, he flipped back out of his chair onto the floor in pain.

He told Harry to get his pills, but Harry, thinking he got his pills, actually got the rat poison and fed them to him, killing him.

This was mentioned in the part after Mr. Mentalino was poisoned at the restaurant. When the FBI came to investigate, this was the dialogue:
Head Cop (to another cop): "Any idea where they were headed?"
Other cop: "We just got a report that they were last seen heading west on I-80 towards Colorado."
Head Cop: "Aah, did you get a makeout on the vehicle?"
Other cop: "Yes, they are driving an '84...Sheep Dog."

This was the part where Harry and Lloyd stopped at a gas station. Lloyd walked out of the store and got into the car. He told Harry he had gotten some beef jerky, but saw that he was asleep. He then pulled out, looked over at Harry, and plugged Harry's nose.

When he did that, he wasn't watching where he was going, and according to the signs, he took the road headed to Lincoln, Nebraska.

That whole Aspen part of the movie really took place at Breckenridge Ski Resort.

The bartender was setting up chairs, and when he saw Lloyd come in, this was the dialogue:
Bartender: "Hey, how ya doin'. Uh, you're a little early, we don't open for about 45 minutes."
Lloyd: "I'm meeting someone here. You mind if I wait at the bar?"
Bartender: "No, come on in."

No, the director simply set the article up on the wall and told Jim Carrey to do something with it, and apparently he did, and it was really hilarious!

That's all true, except they didn't have their hog either; it had broken down, as stated by Harry. Also, speaking of their hotel, that is the Stanley Hotel in Estes Park, Colorado that Stephen King based "The Shining" on. He wrote it while he was staying there.
