Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. 'Off, with his head!'

Answer: King Francis

Played by Timothy West. This particular line had nothing to do with the plot of the movie, as it was said in the King's sleep!
2. 'Why it's positively sinful, what is it called?'

Answer: Marguerite

Played by Megan Dodds. This line was said towards the middle of the movie. Marguerite said this line about the chocolate the prince gave her to try.
3. 'Well, this is terribly embarrassing!'

Answer: Prince Henry

Played by Dougray Scott. This line happened when a wheel fell off the Prince's carriage. The Prince said this line to Danielle, who insisted they continue on foot while the carriage driver went back for help.
4. 'You cannot leave me here, you cannot leave me here!'

Answer: Rodmilla

Played by Anjelica Huston. Rodmilla said this when Danielle's father had died. He had suffered a heart attack and fallen off his horse. Danielle was also at his side.
5. 'Any choice is better than Spain!'

Answer: Queen Marie

Played by Judy Parfitt. The Queen said this as some form of comfort to her son, after she had told him that Danielle had become engaged to a Belgian (which was a lie Rodmilla had told the Queen to remove Danielle from the picture).
6. 'And the chicken, your highness.'

Answer: Louise

Played by Matyelok Gibbs. Louise said this as a response to the Prince's question, 'Were there just the two of you?' after Danielle had seen the Prince, tossed a chicken in the air, and ran away.
7. 'The only throne I want her sittin' on is the one I have to clean everyday!'

Answer: Paulette

Played by Kate Lansbury. Said to Danielle after she and Danielle had finished a conversation about the Prince marrying Marguerite.
8. 'Cause here is your big chance, he's headed this way.'

Answer: Gustave

Played by Lee Ingleby. Said to Danielle, who then ran and hid after she saw that the Prince was indeed headed her way. The Prince was looking for Da Vinci.
9. 'Course not mother, I'm only here for the food.'

Answer: Jacqueline

Played by Melanie Lynsky. Said almost right at the very end to Rodmilla when they were in the presence of the King and Queen. Jacqueline used this line against her mother, as her mother had said earlier in the film that she was only going to the ball for the food.
10. 'Looks like rain!'

Answer: Da Vinci

Played by Patrick Godfrey. While Danielle was swimming alone in the lake, Da Vinci was trying out his new invention, big wooden shoes that allow you to walk on water, he came to her, said his line, they both screamed, and he fell over.
11. 'My wife thanks you for this fine garment!'

Answer: Gypsy

Played by Mark Lewis. While the Prince was fighting off the rest of the Gypsies, the main Gypsy decided to take Danielle's dress, which she had taken off (leaving her under-garments) while climbing up some rocks to try to find the castle, which they were walking to because the carriage had lost a wheel.
12. 'I thought I was looking at your mother.'

Answer: Maurice

Played by Walter Sparrow. After Danielle had rescued Maurice from being shipped off to America, he made this comment to her.
13. 'And though Cinderella and her Prince did live happily ever after, the point, gentlemen, is that they lived.'

Answer: Grande Dame

Played by Jeanne Moreau. An ending statement made by Grande Dame to the Grimm brothers at the end of the movie.
14. 'I must go!'

Answer: Danielle

Played by Drew Barrymore. Said many times throughout the movie by Danielle to the Prince.
15. 'I had a horse like you once. It too, just needed to be... broken.'

Answer: Pierre

Played by Richard O'Brien. Pierre said this to Danielle after Rodmilla had sold her to him. Danielle told him to maintain his distance.
