Answer: Gone With the Wind

2. This 2012 movie that was based on a play that was based on a book by Victor Hugo starred Anne Hathaway and Hugh Jackman. I have no interest in hearing Anne Hathaway sing so what movie do I not want to see?

Answer: Les Misérables

This musical drama set in early 19th century France was nominated for several awards, including an Academy Award for Best Picture. Anne Hathaway won a Supporting Actress Oscar. The movie was very well received and did extremely well at the box office, breaking the record for opening day gross for a musical movie.
3. Here's a movie that I unfortunately did sit through with my kids. It's a two+ hour long musical about a childless baker and his wife who are trying to reverse a curse. There is too much talent in this movie for it to be so long and boring! What movie did I not enjoy?

Answer: Into the Woods

This Disney adaptation of a Steven Sondheim musical stars so many great actors and actresses including Meryl Streep, Emily Blunt, Christine Baranksi and Johnny Depp. It was nominated for several awards and won the Best Film of the Year at the AFI Awards. 4. I can't decide which of this trilogy I dislike the most so just name the Peter Jackson trilogy about Frodo and Sam and Gandalf that in total runs more than nine hours long.

Answer: Lord of the Rings

The "Lord of the Rings" trilogy is an immensely popular adaptation of the J.R.R. Tolkien books that garnered Academy Award nominations for Best Picture for each of the movies. The third in the trilogy won that award. Tom Baker, English actor best known for his portrayal of the fourth Doctor in the "Doctor Who" series, was up for the role of Gandalf but turned it down because he didn't want to spend 16 months in New Zealand filming it.
5. "Let me go, let me go, can't take this movie no more" is my take on this very popular song from this chillingly popular 2013 Disney movie. What is the name of this movie?

Answer: Frozen

"Frozen" blends both computer generated animation with traditional hand drawings. Extensive research was taken in Norway, Quebec City and Wyoming to get the right look and feel of mountains, ice, Scandinavian culture, and walking, running and moving through snow.

There has been some discussion that the main character Elsa is a positive role model for LGBTQ youth and this has garnered some criticism from some and praise from others.
6. This extremely popular 1982 sci-fi classic was followed by a 2017 sequel. Name this movie.

Answer: Blade Runner

"Blade Runner" is a cult classic that is hailed as one of the best sci-fi movies of all time. It is loosely based on a 1968 book by Philip K. Dick called "Do Androids Dream of Electric Sleep?" and is a huge influence on many films, video games, anime and TV shows. Seven different versions of the film exist due to changes requested by studio executives!
7. The premise of this movie is that during the Holocaust a mom has to make an impossible decision about her children. What is the name of this movie I never want to see?

Answer: Sophie's Choice

Meryl Streep portrays a woman who, while at a concentration camp, has to decide which of her two children will be gassed. The film received positive reviews and Roger Ebert gave it 4 out of 5 stars. Meryl Streep won an Oscar for Best Actress. The movie has been described as moving and powerful for its portrayal of such a heart wrenching story line.
8. This Oscar nominated 2018 remake starred the over the top, meat dress wearing singer who won an Oscar for Best Original Song. It's a little too melodramatic for my liking. What is this movie?

The original version of this film was released in 1937, followed by remakes in 1954 and 1976. Production for this version started in 2000, with discussions with the likes of Tom Cruise, Beyoncé, Johnny Depp and Will Smith to star in it. All of these discussions fell apart for various reasons before Bradley Cooper was brought on board to direct in 2015.

He also took on the role of the male lead and Lady Gaga was brought on board in 2016 to take on the part of the female lead.

Rami Malek is exceptional in the lead role as Freddie Mercury and swept up during Awards season, earning a Best Actor Oscar, a Golden Globe, a BAFTA and a Screen Actors Guild award. The vocals you hear throughout the movie are a mixture of Malek and a Canadian singer named Marc Matel with an incredible voice who has made a bit of a career out of singing Queen songs.
10. Can you name the movie from this iconic line: "Life is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you're gonna get."?

Answer: Forrest Gump

Tom Hanks portrays a simple man who shows us key moments in American history while he tells his life story. Hanks won an Oscar for his portrayal of Gump and the movie won Best Picture. Dave Chappelle was offered the role of Bubba but turned it down and John Travolta was the first choice for the role of Forrest. I can't imagine anyone other than Tom Hanks playing that part.
