Unkar Plutt was played by "Shaun of the Dead" actor, Simon Pegg. He was a junk dealer on the planet Jakku, buying and reselling parts. He tried to buy BB-8 from Rey, and after she refused he sent his thugs after her.

Finn had grown to dislike the First Order and they way they behaved. He rescued Poe Dameron as he needed a pilot to help him get off of the Star Destroyer. They stole a TIE fighter, which crashed on Jakku after it was shot down by the First Order.
