Alice Cooper Goes Solo Trivia Quiz

Upon going solo Alice was able to focus on what the band had started---- theatrical rock. The four albums done during this period (1975-1978), Welcom to my Nightmare, Goes to Hell, Lace and Whiskey, and From the Inside, each tell a story.

Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. What is the name of the little boy having the nightmares in Welcome to my Nightmare?

Answer: Steven

Steven is in the nightmare on Welcome to my Nightmare. On Alice Cooper Goes to Hell he is being read a 'bedtime story' in the prologue of the album
2. Welcome to my Nightmare featured Alice's second song about necrophilia. The first was I Love the Dead on Billion Dollar Babies. On this album it was which song?

Answer: Cold Ethyl

In his own words:'A lighthearted take on necrophilia taken much too seriously by the likes of Ann Landers.'---A.C.
3. Who is calling Steven to come home during his nightmare?

Answer: his mom

'isn't that our mom calling?'---
4. In 'Wish you were here', where is 'here'?

Answer: hell

It's pretty warm down here, but it ain't sunny...having a hell of a time my dear, wish you were here!
5. Which album had a Marvel comic book done, expanding on its theme?

Answer: From the Inside

Comic book Alice's nose somehow shrunk and he's built like Spiderman as he escapes from the inside of the nuthouse after being mistaken for...ALEX COOPER, a real loonie with a radial tire fetish! Now you know where I got my screen name.
6. What guest musician plays piano on Lace and Whiskey's 'Damned if you Do'?

Answer: Al Kooper

I know, seems like a trick question. Probably was the reason Alice asked him to play, so he could say, 'yeah, I played with AL Kooper.'
7. What children's rhyme is quoted in Inmates(We're All Crazy)?

Answer: Lizzie Borden took an axe...

Its not like they did something wrong...
8. Who was 'chopped up and sealed tight in baggies' in the 'love' ballad Millie and Billie?

Answer: Donald

I guess love makes you do funny things...what would you expect in an Alice love triangle?
9. What inspired the characters on the album From the Inside?

Answer: Alice's stay in detox

His self commital in Oct 1978 actually is a case of life imitating art. Alice needed drastic measures in order to sober up. It wasn't until after he commited himself that he realized he was the only one there for alcohol. Everyone else was certified section-8. Reminds me of Randall P. McMurphy realizing that HE'S the only one commited, everyone else is there willingly.
10. Which song features the lyrics, 'I'll end up a broken old hobo with red and yellow eyes, swearin' and drunk and dyin'---- and no one's surprised'?

Answer: Lace and Whiskey

I like the next line better, 'but that's a long long way from today babe, as far as I can see. So kick off your shoes. Go and get me my booze, lay your love and your laces on me.'----- Yeah, he sounds about right for commital.
