Released in 1981, "Vienna" reached number two in the British charts. It is the band's signature song and is taken from the album of the same name. "Vienna" is also the name of a song by Billy Joel. It can be found on his 1977 album "The Stranger".
2. Which famous rock singer duetted with soprano Monsterrat Caballe on the song "Barcelona"?

Answer: Freddie Mercury

Freddie Mercury's love of opera is evident even in his recordings with Queen, but in his solo work this comes more to the fore. "Barcelona" reached number two in the UK charts when it was released after the 1992 Olympics held in the city of the same name. Sadly Mercury had died in 1991.

She also states that a London boyfriend of the time warned her not to write a song about Liverpool as the residents would not like it but she claims that the song is well received whenever she plays it in Liverpool!
7. "Stockholm Syndrome" seems to be a popular name as a song title. Which of the following does not have a song of that name?

Answer: Pink Floyd

Two of these songs were released in 2003. The Muse song is found on their album "Absolution" while the Blink-182 version is taken from their album "Blink-182". 9. Who had a number one UK hit with the song "Belfast Child"?

Answer: Simple Minds

A terrific song first released by Simple Minds in 1989, the song makes use of a melody from "She Moved Through the Fair" - an Irish folk song. But Jim Kerr wrote totally different lyrics. The song reflects on the tragedy surrounding the troubles in Northern Ireland.
10. Paris has to be one of the cities about which hundreds of songs have been written. A seventies rock band went one step further and wrote a three part mini rock opera entitled "Une Nuit A Paris" ("One Night in Paris") in 1975. What is the name of this band?

Answer: 10cc

10cc released this song on their 1975 album "The Original Soundtrack". The song tells about the night adventure of a British tourist in Paris. The three parts are not so creatively titled: "One Night in Paris", "The Same Night in Paris" and "Later That Same Night in Paris". Probably due to its length, this song was not released as a single but is often included among the best songs of this band.
