Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Which of their songs has these lyrics? "Rubeus is sobbing. Neville's losin' his mind!"

Answer: Harry Potter is Dead

This was the first part of the second group of verses. Hagrid and Neville were sad because Harry had just been "killed" by Voldemort in "The Deathly Hallows". This song was in the album "Magic is Might", which was released December 10, 2010.
2. Which of these is a line from "The Bravest Man I Ever Knew"?

Answer: Sometimes consequences define your life with hardship.

It goes, "Sometimes consequences define your life with hardship. Will goodness be the banner you raise, 'cause with his last breath Severus said, 'Take it! Take it!'"
"Don't make me choose between you and what we're fighting for" is from "Don't Leave." "We have to do this together" is also from "Don't Leave." And "I'll go on a date with whoever gets the Snitch" is from "House Song."

This song was in the album "Goodbye Privet Drive", which was released July 22, 2008.
3. What song is about escaping from Azkaban?

Answer: Escape from Azkaban

"Escape from Azkaban" is from Sirius Black's point of view. It's about how he's losing it in Azkaban and how he needs to get out. This song was in the album "The Triwizard LP", released July 22, 2008.
4. Was "Bridge to the Other Side" written by MoM (Ministry of Magic)?

Answer: No

"Bridge to the Other Side" was written by a different Wrock band called Oliver Boyd and the Remembralls. It's about how Harry wants to see Sirius at least one more time after Sirius's death. Oliver Boyd and the Remembralls have also written "End of an Era" and "Lupin's Tale".
5. MoM wrote a song about the Ministry of Magic called "The Ministry of Magic". Which is NOT a part of the song?

Answer: Look at me boy, you're pathetic, you're so weak.

"Look at me boy, you're pathetic, you're so weak" is a verse in one of Ministry of Magic's other songs, "I May Lose Everything." It's a song about how Harry may lose everything (something Voldemort told him in "The Order of the Phoenix"), but Voldemort never had anything to lose in the first place. Voldemort is supposed to be saying this line to Harry.

He says this after he says to Dumbledore, "You've lost, old man; watch him writhe on the concrete" about Harry. MoM wrote "The Ministry of Magic" as part of the album "Goodbye Privet Drive", which was released July 22, 2008.
6. What was graffitied on a wall at the end of the official music video of "Don't Leave"?

Answer: LOVE

This was zoomed in on at the end of the video because the song was about love and friendship and how Harry needed Ron by his side. There was a red handprint on top of the "O". The letters were white with a blue outline. "Don't Leave" was in the album "Magic is Might", which was released December 10, 2010.
7. MoM wrote a parody of a song by OneRepublic. Which OneRepublic song was it?

Answer: Apologize

"Apologize" was in the album "Shock Value". The original song was about a boy singing to his girlfriend about how they were over and it was too late for her to apologize for all she had done to him. MoM's version was about how it was too late for Harry to apologize for all he'd done to Ron in Ron's point of view.

It's supposed to be sung by Ron around the time when they were searching for Horcruxes in "The Deathly Hallows" and Ron was about to leave Harry and Hermione. MoM didn't change the name, calling their parody of it "Apologize."
8. MoM often used to work with another Wrock band. Which one?

Answer: The Parselmouths

The members are Kristina Horner and Brittany Vahlberg. Jason Munday did "We Belong Together" with them, a song about the relationship between Lucius and Narcissa Malfoy. They also did other songs together, including "Snape vs. Snape", a song written for MoM by member Luke Conard. Luke sang as good Snape and Kristina sang as bad Snape.
9. Which MoM member started ALL CAPS with Kristina Horner?

Answer: Luke Conard

Luke and Kristina were dating. They met when MoM needed Kristina's band, The Parselmouths's, help with songs. They fell in love, started dating, and eventually made a band without their own other bandmembers. They called it ALL CAPS and wrote songs about "Harry Potter", but also songs about other things as well. One of their "Harry Potter" songs is "Lumos Flies", a parody of Owl City's "Fireflies".
10. And finally, whose point of view is "The Bravest Man I Ever Knew" told from?

Answer: Harry Potter's

This is a song supposed to be sung by Harry the nineteen years later part of "The Deathly Hallows". It's about how Snape was the bravest man Harry ever knew. This song was in the albums "Goodbye Privet Drive", released July 22, 2008, and "Acoustiatus", released October 28, 2008.
