1. In what country was Bruce Springsteen "born".

Answer: USA

Bruce Springsteen's "Born in the USA" got to number five in the UK single charts in June 1985. This single was a double "A" side with "I'm on Fire" on the reverse.
2. "Cry for the Nations" was a minor UK hit for who in 1980?

Answer: Michael Schenker Group

It only got to number 56 in the UK single charts in November 1980. Michael was at one time teamed up with his brother Rudolph in the Scorpions.
3. Who had a terrible itch caused by a "Spanish Flea" in 1965?

Answer: Herb Alpert

Herb along with the Tijuana Brass got to number three in the UK single charts in November of that year. Together they were possibly the biggest selling instrumental act of this era.
4. Back in the 1940s, this was a famous tune for Glenn Miller.

Answer: American Patrol

Possibly the best known big band leader. Miller lost his life in a small aircraft over the English channel during the Second World War.
5. T'Pau had a big hit with "... in your Hand".

Answer: China

This was T'Pau's first and only UK number one in October 1987. Also this song was the UK's 600th number one, from when the chart started way back in 1952.
6. Who walked like an Egyptian in 1986?

Answer: Bangles

Got to number three in the UK singles chart in September 1986. The Bangles comprised of Susanna Hoffs, sisters Vicki & Debbi Peterson and Michael Steele.
7. "Don't Cry for me Argentina" is from which musical/movie?

Many people have sung this song with one of the best being Elaine Paige. Elaine has starred in and sung many songs from musicals including "Memory" from "Cats".

Paul Simon was born in New Jersey and Art Garfunkel in New York. The pair met at High School and the rest as they say is history.

China Town got to number 21 in the UK singles chart in May 1980. Sadly the lead singer/bass guitarist, Phil Lynott, died over 20 years ago in 1986.
