Answer: The Kansas City Five

"Baby Let Me Take You Home" rose to number 21 on the British charts. Eric Burdon, Alan Price, and John Steel were all part of The Kansas City Five. In 1962, Price left the band and joined The Kontours, where he met Chas Chandler, the future bassist for The Animals.

This song features the famous organ solo by Alan Price.

Alan Price (organ) left the band in 1965 and John Steel (drums) left in 1966. Chas Chandler (bass) and Hilton Valentine (guitar) left shortly after Steel.
7. After almost a complete lineup change, what did Eric Burdon change the band name to?

Answer: Eric Burdon and the New Animals

The new lineup still featured Eric Burdon's vocals, but the rest of the band was completely different. Barry Jenkins was now on drums, John Weider played guitar, Danny McCulloch was on bass guitar, and Vic Briggs played guitar, too.
8. After even more lineup changes, Burdon finally pulled the plug on The Animals. What year was it when they finally broke up?

Answer: 1971

After The Animals officially broke up, Burdon joined the band War.
9. What band did Burdon join after the Animals?

Answer: War

Burdon quit in 1971, claiming to be exhausted.
