This was the second single recorded by Ringo Starr. The song was released on the 9th April 1971. Ringo Starr was the drummer for the Beatles after Pete Best was sacked on the 16 August 1962.

Other top hits for Ringo Starr were, "Back Off Boogaloo" (1972), "Photograph" (1973) and "You're Sixteen" (1974), released December 3, 1973 in the (U.S.).
