Answer: The number 3

This number is on the guitar for the guitar technician. Edge numbers his guitars, and writes down what numbers he needs for what songs. This guitar has the number 3 on it because it was also used for "Electric Co.", which would have been the third guitar The Edge needed switched out. (He starts with one on his own, switches for "Vertigo" making one, and switches again for "Elevation" making two).

2. To whom does Bono wish a happy birthday at the end of "Beautiful Day" on the "Vertigo" DVD?

Answer: His daughter

He says "Happy Birthday, Jojo". Jojo is his daughter, who shares a birthday with him. This footage was taken on May 10th as opposed to May 9th.

3. Which of the following "Vertigo" DVD songs is performed in its entirety, without any interruptions or snippets of other songs?

Answer: City of Blinding Lights

"Vertigo" contains a snippet of "Stories for Boys" at the end of the song. "Electric Co." features Smashing Pumpkins' "Bullet With Butterfly Wings", and "Bullet the Blue Sky" features "Johnny Comes Marching Home Again".

This is very hard to catch during the concert, but it is visible. It's also very visible on a particular picture in the DVD booklet, which is a low shot looking up at Adam, where his leg is right next to the camera.

"Don't become a monster in order to defeat a monster". A great theme, but never mentioned in the concert itself.

I agree with this song being left out of the flow of the concert. It's not the best performance of the song, and it also has strange visuals that wouldn't fit into the natural flow of the show.

The "Shine like stars" verse of "With or Without You" was never recorded onto the studio album "The Joshua Tree", but it was added on as early as the first live performance of the song in Tempe, Arizona in 1987.
