Phil Silvers(1911-1985) was an American actor and entertainer. He had his own TV show "The Phil Silvers Show" (1955-1959) in which he starred as Master Sergeant Ernest G. Bilko of the US Army. The show won three consecutive Emmy Awards for Best Comedy Series.
