Answer: Carlton Fisk

The others had already been inducted into the hall. Fisk was the highest vote receiver in 2000 by obtaining 397 of 499 votes. Tony Perez, mainly with the Cincinnati Reds was second in 2000.
2. In 1966, the Dodgers' Sandy Koufax had a tremendous season and won 27 games in his final baseball season. Whose record did he break for the most wins in a pitcher's final season of baseball?

Answer: Henry Schmidt

Schmidt threw only one season in his career. Ironically, he was with the same franchise, the Brooklyn Superbas in 1903 when he went 22-13. Koufax broke the record of 63 years when he went 27-9.
3. Which of the following pitching greats had the most career wins?

Answer: Tom Seaver

Seaver, who spent most of his career with the Mets and the Reds, won 311 career games along with his 1967 Rookie of the Year and three Cy Young awards. He retired in 1986 after 20 seasons, and was a Hall of Fame inductee in 1992.

All these players were involved in this on June 21, 1967, and a major brawl it was. Immediately after Boston outfielder Tony Conigliaro belted a three-run home run in the first inning, the Yankees' pitcher Thad Tillotson leveled third baseman Joe Foy with a pitch, but did not hit him.

The following pitch, Foy was hit in the head with a Tillotson pitch. The brawl did not start there however. The following inning, Red Sox pitcher Jim Lonborg beaned Tillotson in retalliation. This was when the bell sounded and both benches emptied. Yankee Joe Pepitione was injured in the action.

The Canaries were the first pro team that Baltimore experienced. From 1872-1874, they were part of the National Association before closing their doors, and the league disbanded at the end of the 1875 season. After losing their star player after two seasons, Tom Carey, the team went 9-38 in 1874.
