David Boon played for Australia from 1983-1996. In this 107 tests, he scored 7,422 runs at an average of 43.65 with 21 hundreds and 32 fifties. He has scored five 100s and twenty seven 50s in one day cricket. He was one of the key players in the Australian 1987 world cup win and was named the man of the match in the final.

He was known for his advertising campaign with VB beer. He also reportedly holds (an unofficial) record for drinking 52 beers in a flight from Sydney to London. He has worked on the selection committee for Cricket Australia.

Dennis Lillee is known as one of the greatest fast bowlers in the world. He played for Australia from 1970-1984, playing 70 tests and taking 355 wickets. He had 23 five-wicket hauls and has 7 times taken ten wickets in a match. During his career he had a formidable partner in Jeff Thompson.

He reportedly bowled an apple in a first class match in England. Post-retirement, he has worked with the MRF pace foundation in India and has mentored a number of fast bowlers.

He was also captain of Australia in the historic first tied test against West Indies. He took 248 wickets in his 63 tests for Australia. His best bowling figures was 7/72 against India. He scored a century in 78 minutes against the West Indies.

He was the first player to score 2000 runs and take 200 wickets. Since his retirement, he became a commentator working for Channel Nine. He is regarded as one of the all-time greatest cricket commentators.

He is one of the few triple centurions in test cricket scoring an unbeaten 334. Even though he had a chance to make a world record, he declared the innings closed. An interesting fact is that he was the first cricketer to score 1000 runs in a season in his debut year.

Adam Gilchrist is one of the greatest cricketers from Australia and a legendary wicket keeper. He made his one day debut in 1996, but had to wait till 1999 for his test debut. He has 416 dismissals as wicket keeper in test matches and 472 dismissals in one day cricket.

He has 17 tons in test cricket and 16 in one day. He was known for his phenomenal batting as an opener. He retired in January 2008 and post retirement played in the IPL competiton.

Michael Clarke or 'Pup' as he is affectionately called, plays for NSW in domestic cricket. Vice-captain of the Australian team in 2008, he has already captained Australia in a T-20 match. He made his debut in October 2004 in Bangalore against India and scored a century.

He also scored a century in his home debut against New Zealand in Brisbane. His sensational bowling performance in the Mumbai test against India in his debut series, saw his getting 6 wickets for just 9 runs. He also played an important role in the controversial Sydney test in 2008 against India, when he took three wickets to help Australia win the test.

He plays for New South Wales in domestic cricket.
