England went on to win the 1966 World Cup, beating West Germany 4-2 aet in the final.

Answer: West Germany

West Germany lost the match 4-3, but did have the top goal scorer of the tournament. Gerd Muller scored 10 goals in the tournament.

The Netherlands went on to lose the match 1-2 to West Germany.
