South America's lone representative was Brazil. However, they were well represented by Leonidas ("The Black Diamond") and many other talented players.
2. The manager of the Italian side considered his side to be much better than the side which won the 1934 World Cup. How many players played in both the 1934 and 1938 World Cup?

Answer: 4

Meazza and Ferrari survived the intense competition for the 1938 World Cup squad. Monzeglio and Massetti was also there in the squad. Monzeglio was the oldest player of the Italian squad.
