1. International Volleyball Hall of Fame

Located in the birthplace of volleyball, the International Volleyball Hall of Fame was established in Holyoke in 1978 as a small exhibit before opening its first permanent museum in 1987. The city was where William G. Morgan invented the sport in 1895.

The museum highlights the sport's global development and honors players, coaches, and contributors from both indoor, beach, and para volleyball. Morgan was the first inductee in 1985. Notable inductees include Karch Kiraly, Lang Ping, and Giba.
2. International Tennis Hall of Fame

Established in 1954 and housed in the historic Newport Casino (built in 1880), the International Tennis Hall of Fame is both a museum and active tournament venue. It honors players, coaches, and contributors from all over the world. Inductees include Serena Williams, Roger Federer, and Martina Navratilova. Newport was the site of the first U.S. National Championships, now known as the U.S. Open, in 1881. Since 1976 it has hosted the Hall of Fame Open tournament each summer.
3. National Lacrosse Hall of Fame

Housed at the USA Lacrosse headquarters since 2016, the Hall was originally established in 1957 on the campus of Johns Hopkins University. Lacrosse is the flagship athletic program at the university, the men's program has won dozens of national championships and produced dozens of members to the Lacrosse Hall of Fame.

The museum documents the sport's Native American origins and its modern evolution. An ongoing exhibit contains artifacts from the most recent NCAA lacrosse champions. Inductees include Jim Brown, Gary Gait, and Kelly Amonte Hiller.

This Hall of Fame is different from the one maintained by the National Lacrosse League.
4. World Golf Hall of Fame

Originally opened in Pinehurst, North Carolina, in 1974, the Hall moved to the World Golf Village in St. Augustine, Florida in 1998 before moving back to Pinehurst in 2024. The World Golf Hall of Fame came to absorb both the PGA Hall of Fame and the Hall of Fame of Women's Golf by the year 2000 to create a unified Hall of Fame for the sport of golf.

Inductees include golf legends like Jack Nicklaus, Annika Sörenstam, and Tiger Woods.
5. NASCAR Hall of Fame

Opened in 2010, the NASCAR Hall of Fame is located in Charlotte, a city central to a majority of race teams and the heart of stock car racing. The facility features high-tech exhibits, famous racecars, and a state-of-the-art theater. Some of the early inductees included Richard Petty, Dale Earnhardt, and Jeff Gordon.
6. College Football Hall of Fame

The Hall relocated from South Bend, Indiana, to Atlanta in 2014 to increase attendance and corporate sponsorship. Located near Centennial Olympic Park, the facility includes a 45-yard indoor football field and interactive exhibits. It honors over 1,000 memorable players and coaches, including Archie Griffin, Steve Spurrier, and Herschel Walker. Even the Goodyear blimp has received an honorable induction! The Hall first opened in South Bend in 1995, decades after fundraising efforts began to establish a college football museum.
7. International Swimming Hall of Fame

Founded in 1965, the International Swimming Hall of Fame is located at a prominent aquatic complex near the beach in Fort Lauderdale. It honors swimmers, divers, water polo players, and synchronized swimmers from around the world, along with coaches and contributors. Inductees include Michael Phelps, Johnny Weissmuller, and Dawn Fraser. The Hall of Fame is privately owned but recognized by the FINA (Fédération Internationale de Natation) as the official hall for the aquatic sports it oversees.
8. Negro Leagues Baseball Museum

Founded in 1990 and now located in the historic 18th & Vine District, this museum chronicles the history of African American baseball prior to MLB integration. Exhibits include player uniforms, memorabilia, photography, and a recreated field with life-size statues. Key figures honored include Satchel Paige, Josh Gibson, and Buck O'Neil. O'Neil was one of the five former Negro Leagues players who helped launch the museum in 1990.
9. National Softball Hall of Fame

This hall is situated at the headquarters of USA Softball and adjacent to Devon Park, home of the Women's College World Series. The Hall of Fame began in 1957 but it took until the opening of the museum in 1973 to establish a permanent space for the inductees.

The museum includes exhibits on fast-pitch, slow-pitch, and international competition. Notable inductees include Dot Richardson, Lisa Fernandez, and Eddie Feigner.
10. ProRodeo Hall of Fame

Opened in 1979, the ProRodeo Hall of Fame is is located near the headquarters of the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA) in Colorado Springs, Colorado. The hall honors both human and animal inductees, both bulls and horses have their own classes.

Some notable human inductees include Chris Ledoux, Ty Murray, and Charmayne James. Visitors to the hall are greeted by a larger-than-life statue of the legendary Casey Tibbs, aboard his famed saddle bronc, Necktie.
