Lee Trevino won by a shot over Lu Liang - Huan. Lu was beloved by the spectators, and they called him Mr Lu.
2. Who won the 2003 Open Championship, being the only player under par?

Answer: Ben Curtis

Ben Curtis shot one under for four rounds at the tough Royal St Georges layout. Vijay Singh and Thomas Bjorn were close behind on even par.
3. Who won the thrilling Open Championship at Muirfield in 1972?

Answer: Lee Trevino

Nicklaus looked like he was out of contention after the third round, trailing leader Lee Trevino by six shots. But Nicklaus shot a 66, and Trevino and Tony Jacklin needed two pars to beat Nicklaus. Both had pars on the 17th, after Jacklin three putted and Trevino chipped in. Trevino then made par on the final hole to Jacklin's bogey to win.

Big hitting John Daly shot six under par to win his first Open Championship. Australia had a strong contingent, with Steve Elkington, Brett Ogle, Greg Norman, and Robert Allenby, all finishing in the top 20.

Seve won by three from Jack Nicklaus and Ben Crenshaw in 1979 for his first win, and won in 1984 in thrilling fashion at St Andrews. He had his final win at Royal Lytham and St. Annes in 1988.
9. How many Opens did Greg Norman, "The Great White Shark", won?

Answer: Two

Known to lose major championships, Norman blitzed the field to win in 1986 at Turnberry. This included a stunning round of 63. In 1993, he won again, this time at Royal St Georges beating Nick Faldo, his constant rival, by two shots.
