Carter mentioned this when he was talking to his baby boy in Kem's uterus. Kem laughed at him, but he responded with, "What's wrong with George? It was the name of the first president of the United States, very American."

Carter thought it looked fine, but Kem insisted that it had too much gray in it. Viewers could see a sample of it on the wall next to some orange paint.

How sweet (and relieving) that Carter's father would care enough about him to comfort him in this extremely tough time. It's about time that these "ER" parents start realizing that taking care of your kids is more important than being mad at them. Carter and his father had just had a big fight about how Carter was switching the Carter Foundation's focus to medicine in the previous episode.

It's always so dramatic when Carter cries, and in this episode, cry he did! I felt like crying too. Poor John! He cried after he was by himself after leaving Kem alone in her room, and again when his father arrived. He even cried in his father's arms!
