Previously, Roger Leach had also appeared in the stage version of "The Rocky Horror Picture Show" as did Robert Perkins, who played Sgt. Ray Steele.

2. What was the name of the builder who was redeveloping Sun Hill during the 2001, and who later confessed to firebombing the station, even though he hadn't done it?

Answer: Harry Fullerton

Fullerton believed himself responsible for the fire because he had left gas canisters in Inspector Monroe's office, which exploded when hit by the firebomb.

3. In 2000, the majority of CID was transferred because of the killing of DS John Boulton by DS Don Beech, but why was this?

Answer: Most turned a blind eye to DS Beech's corrupt conduct.

The officers removed from the drama were Chief Superintendent Charles Brownlowe, DI Chris Deakin, WDC Kerry Holmes and, ironically, DS Geoff Daly, who knew that Beech was corrupt all along. DCI Meadows escaped the axe, relying on his friends high up in the Police Force to save his job.

After making a teenage criminal pregnant, Ashton left the series in 1999, but returned three years later, claiming to have been living in Kenya.

Debbie Keane appeared in 'The Bill' from 1995-1998. Although she was never a principal character, she did appear in the opening credits alongside PC Steve Loxton in the Area Car for a few years.

According to 'Guinness,' Baker is the longest appearing character in a TV show that has never actually spoken. However, before being named Tom Baker, he was known as Vic Gallucci. Nick Letters and Chris Rowe have never been characters in "The Bill". Ahem.

Usually the CAD head officer is Matthew Boyden. He has been in the show since 1991, partially replacing Sgt. Alec Peters who was moved 'upstairs' after being stabbed by a youth on drugs. On entering the show Boyden was known as The Man with the Golden Y-Fronts.
