It is interesting (well I think so) to note that the majority of characters in "The Bill" have actually appeared in guest roles before being taken on as permanent characters.

2. What is the name of the actor who played PC Eddie Santini?

Answer: Michael Higgs

Michael Higgs played the bad cop who was eventually shot dead by a gang of thugs. He went on to appear in 'EastEnders' as the local mobster.

3. DS Don Beech and DCI Frank Burnside have both starred in spin-offs of "The Bill", - "Beech is Back" and "Burnside". Who played them, respectively?

Answer: Billy Murray and Christopher Ellison

Although all of these men have played characters in "The Bill", it is only Billy Murray and Chris Ellison who have starred in their on series.

The producers then believed that the stereotypical villain should always have dark hair. Scott was later hired as DS Deakin, who later replaced Sally Johnston as DI.
