Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. What are the character names of the original three angels?

Answer: Kelly, Sabrina, Jill

The original three angels were Kelly Garrett, Sabrina Duncan, and Jill Munroe. These characters were played by Jaclyn Smith, Kate Jackson, and Farrah Fawcett. America fell in love with Charlie's beautiful angels on September 22, 1976. The creation of the series was helped along by Kate Jackson. Because she was supposed to be the "star" of the show, she was paid $10,000 per episode.

The other two actresses, who weren't as popular as Jackson, were only paid $5,000 per episode. This is why the Farrah Phenomenon was such a surprise!
2. What actor played the loveable Bosley, John Bosley in "Charlie's Angels?"

Answer: David Doyle

In 1976, David Doyle signed on to play the role of John Bosley in "Charlie's Angels." Although his part was small in the pilot, after ABC picked up the series, the lawyer and Bosley's characters were combined together making David Charlie's only male angel.

In the 1990's, David was the voice of Grandpa Pickles in the successful children's series the "Rugrats." He was also the voice of Pepe for the motion picture "The Adventures of Pinocchio." David Doyle died on February 26, 1997 of a heart attack. We will miss him.
3. What kind of car did Jill and Kris drive on the series?

Answer: 1976 Ford Mustang Cobra II

Farrah Fawcett and Cheryl Ladd, a.k.a. Jill Munroe and Kris Munroe, drove the very cool 1976 Ford Mustang Cobra II. It was painted white and had blue stripes. Jaclyn Smith drove a yellow Mustang, and Kate's character Sabrina drove an orange Ford Pinto.
4. How many times during "Charlie's Angels" run was Jaclyn Smith's character, Kelly, shot in the head?

Answer: 2

Kelly Garrett was shot in the head twice, once in season one, and once in season five. She was shot in the episode 7: "To Kill and Angel" and episode 115: "Let Our Angel Live." Luckily, she survived both shootings!
5. Which of the following episodes is from season four?

Answer: "Fallen Angel"

"Fallen Angel" was episode number 78. It first aired on October 24, 1979. In this episode, the angels are hired by an opera star to protect a diamond from a jewel thief. However, Jill becomes romantically involved with the thief, and he invites her to participate in the heist. Farrah Fawcett guest stars in this episode as Jill Munroe.
6. What is Kris's "cb name" in the episode "Angels Go Truckin'?"

Answer: Angel Eyes

In this episode from season four, the angels are called in to help the Venus trucking company where one million dollars in pharmaceuticals have been hijacked. Kris (Cheryl) and Tiffany (Shelley) drive a big rig following the route of the hijacked truck, and Kelly (Jaclyn) goes undercover as a waitress in a diner.
7. In episode 18: "Terror on Ward One," what does Bosley go undercover as?

Answer: Patient

In this episode, Jill and Kelly pose as student nurses at the hospital and Sabrina enters the case as a local writer preparing a magazine story. Bosley is admitted to the hospital as a surgical patient with a bone spur. Inside, the team discovers old records of a malpractice suit in which a man died. Could the chief surgeon cited in the malpractice suit be the rapist? Meanwhile, Bosley provides the not-so-comic relief when he is mistaken for another patient and has his healthy appendix removed against his will.
8. On December 6, 1976 "Charlie's Angels" were on their first cover of "People Weekly."

Answer: True

Yes, on December 6, 1976 the angels, Kelly, Sabrina, and Jill were on the cover of "People Weekly," just to give you a better idea of how long ago that was, the magazine only cost 50 cents. On the cover it says "Charlie's Angels: How three sweet Southern girls became TV's hit team."
9. Which angel did "People Weekly" call "Charlie's Sexiest Angel?"

Answer: Tanya Roberts

The February 9, 1981 "People Weekly" with Tanya on the cover says: "Charlie's Sexiest (And Last?) Angel: In the wake of Farrah, Kate, Shelley & low ratings, Tanya Roberts brings a lusty humor to a jinxed job." This issue of "People Weekly" only cost 95 cents, and due to the continued low ratings of "Charlie's Angels," the last episode aired on June 24, 1981.
10. Kate Jackson was in the two hour episode "Love Boat Angels."

Answer: False

Kate Jackson was fired after the third season because she was causing problems on the set. "Love Boat Angels" was the first episode of the forth season, and the first episode America saw Shelley Hack in. This episode originally aired on September 12, 1979, and was a two hour special. The episode was split into two one hour episodes for syndication.
