Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Lelouch received his geass from a mysterious girl named C.C. in Shinjuku which gave him a supernatural power. What can Lelouch now do with his geass?

Answer: He can give anyone any order he desires as long as he looks at them directly in their eyes

Before C.C. gave Lelouch the geass, she told him that he must keep a contract with her to receive the power. The exact details of the contract were revealed later in the series. At the time Lelouch was cornered by Britannian soldiers who were going to kill him because they thought he was a terrorist. C.C. told Lelouch that he could get out of this situation alive if he had the power of geass. Lelouch used his geass on the soldiers telling them to kill themselves which they did. Lelouch knew that with this power he could make anyone do anything he wanted. Later on he learns that although this power is great it can also be a curse.
2. Honorary Britannian, Suzaku Kururugi became the pilot of what experimental knightmare frame?

Answer: Lancelot

Suzaku was the son of the former Prime Minister of Japan now called Area 11. He was Lelouch's childhood friend however they had two very different philosophies on how to make the world a better place. Lelouch believed in taking out the powerful Britannian Empire by a rebellion. Suzaku believed that if he was working for the Britannian Empire, he would rise in the ranks and have a say into changing Britannia's ways of imperialism.

Although Lelouch and Suzaku were very good friends, they ended up fighting each other in the war between the Britannians and the Japanese. Ironically Lelouch, a former Britannian prince, was fighting for the Japanese while Suzaku, a natural born Japanese citizen, was fighting for the Britannians.
3. Which Ashford Academy student council member was one of the terrorists Lelouch helped in Shinjuku?

Answer: Kallen

Kallen Kozuki, her Japanese name, or Kallen Stadtfeld, her Britannian name used in Ashford Academy was born to a Japanese mother and a Britannian father. She joined Lelouch, not knowingly at first, to rebel against Britannia. Her parents divorced but they still live with each other.

Her mother was hired as a maid but was treated poorly because she was Japanese. Kallen wanted to liberate Japan so that she and her mother could live a better life. Kallen became the top pilot of the knightmare frame Guren and was one of Lelouch's most valuable members in his rebellion group.
4. When Lelouch formed a rebellion group with the terrorists at Shinjuku, he gave himself a code name that both Britannians and Japanese recognize him as. What was that code name?

Answer: Zero

Zero always wore a mask and cape. Lelouch also had a voice modifier in the mask so that no one could recognize his voice. Zero became a symbol of hope for Japanese citizens and a symbol of one of the biggest enemies Britannia had ever dealt with.
5. After Prince Clovis' death, who became Viceroy of Area 11?

Answer: Princess Cornelia

Cornelia li Britannia was the second princess in line to the Britannian throne. She believed that Britannia was the superior nation and race. She became Zero's first enemy and was an excellent knightmare pilot and leader. Her sister, Third Princess Euphemia became friends with Suzaku.
6. In the episode "The Stolen Mask" a stray cat took Lelouch's mask and ran off with it. After Lelouch took the mask back without anyone knowing, Suzaku decided to keep the cat. What did Suzaku name the cat?

Answer: Arthur

Lelouch knew that if anyone found Zero's mask on the Ashford Academy campus that it would be over for him. The cat ended up on the roof with the mask and Lelouch managed to get the mask back without anyone knowing. Even though Suzaku kept Arthur, the cat did not like him and bit him frequently in the series.
7. When Lelouch lost the battle at the Saitama Ghetto, who provided a distraction to let him escape?

Answer: C.C.

Lelouch stole a Britannian knightmare frame and had Japanese citizens help him fight the Britannians and Princess Cornelia; it was very similar to the Shinjuku incident with Prince Clovis. Lelouch lost the battle and Cornelia demanded all knightmare pilots to exit their knightmare and reveal their faces.

This would reveal Lelouch being Zero to Cornelia and the rest of Britannia. Before he had to open the knightmare, C.C. showed up dressed as Zero and fell off the top of a building. The soldiers went after the fake Zero which allowed Lelouch to escape. C.C. told Lelouch that this battle was a trap set up by Cornelia and she needed him to live to fulfill his contract. Lelouch successfully escaped without revealing his identity.
8. Lelouch officially gave his rebellion group a name. What was it?

Answer: Order of the Black Knights

Many Britannian tourists were held hostage in a hotel by the Japan Liberation Front. The Japan Liberation Front wanted to use the hostages as a bargain deal with the Britannians so that they can control Japan. Rather than helping them, Lelouch decided to free the hostages and take credit for the rescue as Zero.

When the hostages were saved during a nationwide broadcast, Zero announced about his group The Order of the Black Knights. He announced that the Black Knights were a group that "protects the weak from those with power." Zero did align with the Japan Liberation Front later in the series.
9. In the episode "Refrain", Lelouch's group destroyed something called refrain. What was it?

Answer: A type of drug

It was revealed that Kallen's mother was a user of this drug. Refrain was used to take people back to their past memories. Her mother kept using it so that she could forget about her current life of being a maid to her former husband.
10. In the episode "Guren Dances", the Britannian army attempted to destroy the remainder of the Japan Liberation Front at their hideout. Where were they hiding?

Answer: Narita

The Japan Liberation Front's forces were limited but they were saved by the Black Knights. Kallen managed to create a mudslide with her Guren knightmare frame that eliminated the majority of the Britannian forces which gave the Black Knights a victory.
