1. In which episode did Nick Lea appear for the first time?

Answer: 'Gender Bender'

Krycek was introduced in 'Sleepless', but Nick had a small role (Michael) in 'Gender Bender'. Chris Carter liked him (I understand that!) and offered him the role of Alex Krycek in season 2.

2. What is the name of the convict who wants to help Scully catch a killer in 'Beyond the Sea'?

Answer: Luther Lee Boggs

Played by Brad Dourif. In this episode, Scully is the believer and Mulder the skeptic. Boggs says he has a message for Scully - from her father, who died in the beginning of the episode. Scully never gets to hear it. This was one of Gillian's favorite episodes.

He is arrogant and very self-confident. He offers Scully a job, but she refuses and stays with Mulder.

Nick starred in a few episodes of 'Buffy' as Riley's new boss. Doug played the liver-eating mutant {Tooms;} Brad brought Luther Lee Boggs from 'Beyond the Sea' to life, and Robert played Modell, the 'Pusher', from 'Pusher' and 'Kitsunegari' (seasons 3 and 5).

7. Who of the following is NOT a former lover of Mulder or Scully?

Tom and Scully were only friends (if at all). Phoebe Green and Mulder were a couple years ago. Jack Willis and Scully were a couple while she was in Quantico, and Kristen and Mulder had a short affair during Scully's absence in season 2.

Deep Throat (Jerry Hardin) appeared in 'Deep Throat' and was shot in 'The Erlenmeyer Flask'. He was gentle and polite and really seemed to like Mulder. Next in line was 'X' (Steven Williams) (on the phone in 'The Host', and he appeared in 'Sleepless'.

He was killed in 'Herrenvolk'), who seemed to help Mulder only reluctantly. When X died, Marita (Laurie Holden) was introduced. She was left for dead in 'One Son', but she survived and appeared again in 'Requiem' where she picked up Krycek at the prison.

In the meantime, Kritschgau appeared sometimes ('Gethsemane', 'The Beginning'). I don't remember when he died, but he was killed, too.

9. Who shot Melissa Scully?

Answer: Luis Cardinal (The Hispanic Man)

Melissa was shot in 'The Blessing Way' because Cardinal and Krycek thought she was Scully. It was actually Cardinal who pulled the trigger. The Crewcut Man didn't appear until season 3, and except for the movie, I haven't seen the Well-Manicured Man (played by John Neville) with a gun. He died in a car explosion in the movie.

10. What was the name of Scully's dog?

Answer: Queequeg

Scully got him in 'Clyde Bruckman's Final Repose', he appeared briefly in 'War of the Coprophages' and was eaten by an alligator in 'Quagmire'.
