To try and prevent Nick from finding this out, Amy allowed her sister, Ruth, and Ruth's husband, Ted Brent, to adopt Phil.

To celebrate the show's 20th anniversary, in January of 1990, "AMC" executive producer, Felicia Minei Behr, debuted a new opening that featured pictures of all contract cast members.

The only star on the show, who had a picture in the opening credits for the show's first opening, was Rosemary Prinz.

Her grandchildren always referred to her as "Gran." She passed away in 1985 due to old age and the actress who portrayed her, Kay Campbell, died in real life as well.

The town of Pine Valley was never the same again when Kate Martin passed.

During Phoebe and Linc's discussion, Linc told Phoebe that he did not approve of her causing trouble with many residents in Pine Valley. Phoebe told Linc that she would change her ways and start to behave more properly. Phoebe, being a Grand Dame of Pine Valley, obviously did not change and she continued to be a troublemaking busybody for many more years.
