Lorne Greene portrayed Commander Adama in Battlestar Galactica. He was most famous for his role in "Bonanza". He passed away September 11, 1987 at the age of 72.

Rumor has it that Don Johnson was originally considered for the role of Starbuck but his southern accent cost him the part. Dirk Benedict was given the part and went on to his most famous role as Templeton Peck in "The A-Team".
