Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Who said, "Textbooks are important, if for no other reason than they'd accurately place the town of Kirkwood in California and not in Oregon"?

Answer: Ainsley

Whilst on "Capital Beat", Sam meets his match against Republican Ainsley Hayes when they debate about Bartlet's education bill. Sam had been under the opinion that good looking Republicans like Ainsley didn't know anything but as Mark Gottfried said, "This one might know something."
2. Who said, "Ginger, get the popcorn"?

Answer: Toby

When they went for a break, Sam said to himself, "Please, oh, please, let them not be watching." The next thing you see is Josh rush into Toby's office to tell him that Sam is getting a roasting on the show and as they both run out, Toby shouts for Ginger to get some popcorn.
3. Who said, "There's a whole bunch of women over there. Why don't you ask them whether Geneva's in Switzerland or Oregon?"

Answer: C.J

The next morning, C.J tells Sam that she is impressed that he came into work with his head held high after "Capital Beat". Sam replies, "And I appreciate your being the one person who's managed to abstain from heckling me" and that is when she teases him about where Geneva is.
4. Who said, "Me and you, twenty questions, short answer, general knowledge test, right now"?

Answer: Sam

Despite Toby telling him to go to his office, Sam challenges C.J to a quiz but Toby demands that Sam go to his office. C.J then makes a noise like a chicken, which annoys Sam, but he heads to Toby's office.
5. Who said, "Absolutely, Mr. President. 'Cause I'm told that theirs is the party of inclusion"?

Answer: Charlie

President Bartlet asks Leo to hire Ainsley Hayes to work in the White House but Leo has strong objections, as she is a Republican. Bartlet then asks Charlie for his opinion and Bartlet says in response to Charlie's smart answer; "When they close the book on me and you, it will say that at this moment you were not there for me, and for that, obviously, there'll be some kind of punishment." Charlie tells the President that he could sing Puccini for him again and then they would be even.
6. Who said, "Well, what the hell made you think I wouldn't scream where there are people?"

Answer: C.J

Leo calls C.J and Sam into the corridor to tell them that he has offered Ainsley a job. He didn't tell Josh and Toby in fear of their reaction.
7. Who said, "She'll be happy to hear that, she's standing right outside the door"?

Answer: Leo

Margaret wanted to stay in the room when Leo met with Ainsley but he insisted she must go. When Ainsley arrived, she informed Leo that Margaret is a good secretary and he says, "She'll be happy to hear that, she's standing right outside the door." He then bangs the door and we hear Margaret shout "Ow."
8. Who said, "Gosh, let's see if there could possibly be any other reason why I wouldn't want to work in this White House? This White House that feels that government is better for children than parents are. That looks at forty years of degrading and humiliating free lunches handed out in a spectacularly failed effort to level the playing field and says, 'Let's try forty more.' This White House that says of anyone that points that out to them, that they are cold and mean and racist, and then accuses Republicans of using the politics of fear. This White House that loves the Bill of Rights, all of them - except the second one"?

Answer: Ainsley Hayes

Sam said to Josh, "No, man, why participate in the process when you can get a job commenting on it?" and Ainsley outlined all the reasons as to why she didn't want to work in the Bartlet White House. Sam tells her that she shouldn't talk about guns in front of Josh and Sam said, "But for a brilliant surgical team and two centimeters of a miracle, this guy's dead right now. From bullets fired from a gun bought legally."
9. Who said, "You can't go home. You can't go home"?

Answer: President Bartlet

President Nimbala of the Republic of Equatorial Kuhndu visited the White House in this episode to discuss the AIDS situation in Africa and get aid from the United States. At the end, Nimbala is called into the Oval Office to be told that a coup had occurred in his country and the capital had been taken.

The US State Department granted asylum to Nimbala but he maintained that he must go home to his people but Bartlet told him he would be shot the minute he got off his plane.
10. Who said, "The people that I have met have been extraordinarily qualified, their intent is good. Their commitment is true, they are righteous, and they are patriots. And I'm their lawyer"?

Answer: Ainsley Hayes

Ainsley witnesses all that goes on in the Oval Office between Bartlet and Nimbala and is moved by the staff's dedication to their job. Ainsley goes to visit her friends and tells them that they shouldn't call them worthless just because they don't agree with their political views.
