The announcer of the game show (voiced by Dian Bachar) announces their names before telling them about their prize, a trip to South Park. Tom and Mary don't seem too thrilled by the prize.

The song is "Rio", from Duran Duran's self-titled album. Santa sings it, because, according to him, there are only four Christmas songs about Santa and multiple songs about Jesus.

Most of his diatribe is unheard, because he is too busy making margaritas in the blender. His monologue, of course, is ironic, considering it's one about frivolous spending.

Tuong Lu Kim, assigned with building and guarding the wall, taunts the Mongolians, daring them to throw the ball. He fires a missile at the Mongolian leader (presumably Genghis Khan), which intercepts the baseball in mid-air, redirecting it towards the wall, which then blows up.

Vernon Chatman, the voice of Towelie, naturally gets credited with writing a Towelie episode. Although this isn't the first episode with Towelie, this is the episode where he becomes a semi-recurring character.

South Park, trying to lose, nevertheless manages to beat Pueblo, Conifer, and Fort Collins to advance to the state championship against Denver (which they lose via forfeit). Playing to stereotype, Pueblo is made up of Latino players and parents, and everybody speaks Spanish.

The episode centers around Kyle being at the bottom of the list, even below Cartman. Clyde is ranked cutest, and the list shows Stan is third. Right above Stan's name is Token, although we may never know the true positions, since the list gets manipulated.

Cartman is the first person to sue, suing Stan for using a derogatory name against him, winning half of Stan's belongings. The other two are later seen in cases, with the plaintiffs (Craig and Mr. Mackey) winning half the defendants' belongings, and the school loses $4.1 million. Cartman later loses half of his stuff (presumably with Stan's as well) to Pip, and Pip also wins $1.6 million from the school. All of the cases are presided over by Kyle's dad, Gerald Broflovski.

When Gerald is insulted by a news reporter on TV, Gerald sues him for slander.

He makes this announcement when he states that Japan has built their own ladder to Heaven, which he believes will reach Heaven first (and he takes delight in). He later claims to reach Heaven, although it is actually a soundstage.

Although Wendy claims to be happy for Cartman, she is secretly vengeful against him. When nobody in the town knows about "Walden", and therefore don't care, she furiously exclaims that if Walden was a sitcom, they would know what it was.

Cartman says in the episode, "I'm gonna get those killer sai." Stan ends up with the tonfas, and Kenny gets the shuriken (for $1.99). To the best of my knowledge, no one ends up with a bo.

Stan's "future self" says this to convince them he's telling the truth (of course, it's an elaborate hoax to make sure Stan doesn't do drugs). Surprisingly, since Jimbo Kern is Stan's uncle, we also learn that Sharon's maiden name is Kimble.
