Donatello was making dinner when someone broke in, tied him up and stuck a needle in his neck, while "Rain Drops Keep Falling on My Head" played in the background. The other three songs were all part of season 6 episodes. "Beautiful Loser" was in "Exile on Main Street," "The Gambler" was in "Weekend at Bobby's," and "One Way or Another" was in "My Heart Will Go On."

Answer: "Mouse Trap"

Dean was attempting to set up the "Mouse Trap" game, while Mary and Jack were getting snacks and popping popcorn. Mary explained to Jack that she thought staying in and playing his favorite game from when he was a child would relax him. Since Dean was cursing as he tried to set it up, it was clear to the viewers that her plan was not working.

Then, of course, a call for help interfered.

Answer: He wanted to bring Lucifer back and have him possess him

Nick kidnapped Donatello and injected him with angel grace so he could talk to Lucifer. Lucifer told him how to bring him back. He lured the Winchesters to him to get to Jack, and he picked the fight to get Jack's blood for a spell to bring Lucifer back. He also tried to kill Sam, because he wanted to be Lucifer's perfect vessel, rather than Sam.

Answer: Mary and Nick

Mary told Jack to use his powers to stop Nick and Lucifer. Jack stopped Lucifer from coming back, but then he tortured and killed Nick. Mary tried to stop him, but he was out of control. He then went to Sam and Dean, and saved Sam, who had been attacked by Nick. Then, fearing Mary would tell the Winchesters what he had done, he lost control and killed Mary.

Answer: fight. We fight to bring them back.

The brothers were devastated to lose their mother. And Dean blamed Castiel, for not telling them something was wrong with Jack. After Dean said they needed to fight to bring Mary back, Sam asked how, and Dean said they would go to Rowena, who had already resurrected herself many times.

Answer: To find Mary's soul

The brothers were heading to Rowena to see if she could bring Mary back, and Cas went to Heaven to see if he could find her soul. Of course, Jack had already grabbed Rowena in the hope that she could fix his mistake and bring Mary back. Rowena was unable to bring her back, though. Cas was able to go to Heaven and see Mary and confirm that she was at peace.

He told the brothers she was with John and there was "no sorrow . . . just joy."

Answer: Burned Mary's body

Once they accepted that Mary was at peace, and all Jack was able to bring back was an empty shell, the brothers held a hunter's funeral for Mary, burning her bones as they watched - just as they did for their father and numerous other hunters lost over the years.

Dean's tribute was touching. He said she was "tough, strong, stubborn . . . Someone who had opinions and wasn't shy to use them. She could handle a machete. She could handle a vampire. She could handle our old man. She couldn't cook." Shortly after that, Bobby showed up and killed the wraith that was hiding in the crowd of mourners.

Answer: "God writes paperback books in his underwear."

Dean left the bunker to go off by himself and cry for his mother. When he returned, Sam said, "I can't stop thinking about mom. I can't stop thinking, most people, it's hope and faith, right? It's all they have. But we know the truth. We know God is real. We know angels are real, too." A cynical Dean replied, "God writes paperback books in his underwear, okay?"

Answer: Kill Castiel with a bolt of lightning

The angel Duma found out Jack was isolated and confused, and decided to use him for her own ends, to make heaven stronger. She got him to turn an author that denied the existence of God into a pillar of salt, like happened to Lot's wife in the Bible.

The brothers read about this, and then also saw the story about a TV evangelist who had embezzled donations being gobbled up by the earth - another death found in the Bible. She also used him to create angels, and when the minister of the faithful he was turning into angels objected, she had him cause worms to eat the man from the inside out.

Answer: Lock him in the box that he built to contain Michael

After seeing how strong he was, and that Heaven had "its hooks in him," Dean convinced Sam that the only way to stop Jack was to trick him into getting locked in the box. The brothers told him they were close to being able to fix his soul, and they would let him out when it was done. Jack agreed, but once he was locked inside he got scared.

While the box was built to contain an archangel, it turned out that a nephilim of Lucifer was stronger, and Jack was able to break out.

Answer: "Carry On Wayward Son" by Kansas

"Carry On Wayward Son" has become the unofficial theme song for "Supernatural." It was played during the "road so far" segment of the penultimate episode of season 1, and for the last episode of every season thereafter. It was also used for the season 10 episode, "Fan Fiction."

Answer: Dean could recite serial killer statistics

When the brothers walked into the facial recognition software company, Dean called the employees "nerds". Sam quipped, "Takes one to know one." When Dean objected, Sam said, "You are always calling me a geek, but you know every word to every Led Zeppelin song, backwards and forwards. You can discuss in detail every major rock drummer between 67 and 84. And, you watch "Jeopardy" every night." Dean replied that he was "nothing like this gaggle of Zuckerbergs." It was Sam, not Dean, who collected serial killer statistics, a hobby that Dean teased him about several times during the series.

Jack told the world to "stop lying" and this created chaos. To test his theory that nobody could lie, Dean told Sam to name his favorite singer. He said he knew he always said it was Elvis, but told him to tell him who it really was. Sam attempted to say Elvis, but instead said, "Celine Dion." And then tried to say Elvis, but said "Celine Dion" again. Dean referred to it as "the sad, horrible truth." Celine Dion and her song "My Heart Will Go On" from "Titanic" was also a joke used in the season 6 episode, "My Heart Will Go On."

Answer: "God was Never on Your Side" by Motorhead

The song "God was Never on Your Side" was perfect for the scene. God lied to them and betrayed them. He admitted he had been writing the story, putting them through all the pain and devastation all those years. Then, he killed Jack, and released all the evil from Hell on them, welcoming them to "the end." This set up the series for an epic final season 15.
