In the opening scene, we see Opie riding his bike no-handed to try and impress a girl he goes to school with. When he wrecks his bike to the point of needing repairs, Andy makes a comment about how he ought to make Opie go out and earn the money to fix it so he can understand how hard it is to make a dollar. Opie ultimately tries to find a job, first searching at the filing station and also the barber shop. Aunt Bee sees a sign for a delivery boy wanted at the local market and tells Opie about it.

After he and another boy both apply, the owner allows them both to work for a week and then decides which boy would be the permanent employee.

When Ernest T. finds out that an Englishman has taken his job, he becomes angry because his Irish mother had always told him that Englishmen were the enemy.

There was an aritcle written about the Mayberry sheriff's office about a sheriff who doesn't carry a gun. Hollywood sends him a check for a thousand dollars to use it to make a motion picture. Andy wants to put in into the bank to save it, but Aunt Bee, Opie, and Helen pressure him into using a good portion of it to take a trip out to Hollywood.

Aunt Bee went on the show "Win or Lose" and won the big prize when she knew a certain recipe. Some of these items were; a refriderator, a mink coat, a dishwasher, an ice maker, and other valuable prizes. However, there was never a mention of winning an air conditoiner.

Answer: Spot

All of these names have been used at one point on the show for a dog, however the name Spot was given to the dog in an ironic way considering the dog didn't have spots. Also, this is the same dog that Barney uses in "Barney's Bloodhound." He also showed up in a few other episodes.

We find out later that Otis does some of his best work after he's had a little bit of alcohol to drink.
