Answer: Outnumbered

"Outnumbered" started in 2007 and is about a family who lives in London. The sitcom is different as it is semi-improvised so the children do their lines the way they want to do them. "Outnumbered" was given many nominations including a BAFTA and a 'Best Comedy Programme' nomination, but sadly lost both of them.
2. 9: Coming in at number nine on my countdown is a sitcom about Hyacinth Bucket, an overly eccentric housewife and her long-suffering husband. What is the name of this funny comedy?

Answer: Keeping Up Appearances

"Keeping Up Appearances" started in 1990. Hyacinth is a snob who enjoys hosting candle-lit dinners with the socialites of the village attending. She has a sister called Violet who is apparently "the one with the Mercedes, swimming pool, and room for a pony". The show ended on Christmas Day 1995, but is still loved by comedy fans to this day!
3. 8: This sitcom was filmed in a village and is about a female, chocoholic vicar. In 2006 she gets married in her pyjamas, after an accident with mud. What is the name of this brilliant British sitcom?

Answer: The Vicar Of Dibley

"The Vicar Of Dibley" started in 1994 and features Dawn French (half of comedy duo French and Saunders) as the Geraldine, the vicar of a small village named Dibley. In the program, she gets married to an accountant, Harry (played by Richard Armitage). The program ended in 2007 with a Red Nose Day special to round off the series.

Answer: Bless This House

"Bless This House" started in 1971 and includes the actress Diana Coupland as Jean and Sid James as Sid. "Bless This House" ended in 1976 and, sadly, four days after the original broadcast of the finale, Sid James died of a heart attack.

Answer: Miranda

The character of Miranda is played by comedian Miranda Hart and the sitcom started in 2009. Miranda is a 6'1" character who is often called "Sir!" She also has many friends in the restaurant next door, including head chef Gary. A Christmas special of the program aired in December 2010.

Answer: On The Buses

"On The Buses" started in 1969 and features Reg Varney as Stan and Bob Grant as Jack. Doris Hare plays Stan's mum who is always with her sister Olive, who is often teased by the lads. The show, which ended in 1973, was extremely successful and is often repeated on ITV3.
