Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. How long does Bart say that his story will take?

Answer: 23:05

In the beginning of this episode, Bart and Homer are carrying the head of Jebediah Springfield, the town founder, through town to place it back on its statue. As they round a corner, an angry mob chases them down the street to the town center. Here, Bart climbs onto the statue and begs for his and Homer's lives.

He decides to tell the story to the town, and when they ask how long it will take, he says twenty-three minutes and five seconds. This is how long this portion of the episode would take if commercials were included.
2. Which of these objects does Marge not find in Bart's pockets as they prepare for church?

Answer: Firecrackers

Bart begins his story with the family getting ready for church. The children prepare to be inspected by Marge at the door, and while Marge simply takes a look at Maggie and Lisa, Bart is forced to 'assume the position' by having her search his pockets at the door. Homer, meanwhile, is watching the football game in the living room.
3. Which of these does Homer take with him into church?

Answer: A radio

On the way into Sunday School, Marge notices Bart sneaking a portable radio and earphones into the church. She throws it into the car and Homer picks it up so that he can listen to the football game during Reverend Lovejoy's sermon (which is about wrongly watching football rather than going to church).

In Sunday School, Bart and Lisa learn that pets will not be waiting for them in Heaven, and that cavemen have no place in Heaven either.
4. What is the name of the movie playing at the Aztec Cinemas?

Answer: Space Mutants 4

On the way home from church, Marge tells Homer that she was embarrassed with his lack of respect for their church and the kids tell their parents that they learned about who is permitted to go to Heaven. While Homer complains that smarter apes should be allowed in, they pass the movie theatre and Bart begs his parents to let him see "Space Mutants 4: The Trilogy Continues".
5. How much money does Homer give to Bart after church?

Answer: $5

After church, Bart asks Homer for $5, and Homer gives the money to Bart as long as he doesn't spend it on "Space Mutants 4", which Marge strictly forbade him from seeing. Bart quickly changes and hops out the window on his skateboard. When he gets to the cinema, bullies Jimbo and Kearney distract Bart and he hits a lamppost.

When Bart makes a witty comeback, the bullies decide to let him hang out with them.
6. What does Bart buy for Jimbo, Kearney, and Dolph?

Answer: Squishees

After sneaking into "Space Mutants 4" with the bullies, Bart and the guys are kicked out of the theatre when they get caught by an usher. They head to the Kwik-E-Mart and Bart buys the gang a batch of Squishees, but while his and Apu's backs are turned, the guys steal a load of merchandise from the shelves. Bart ends up spending most of his money on a group of hoodlums.
7. Which of these things do Bart and the bullies not see in the clouds?

Answer: A bear

Bart and the bullies head to the center of town where they proceed to throw rocks at Jebediah Springfield. Bart dislikes the idea of doing this to a statue of the man who founded the town, but he does it anyways to show off in front of the bullies. Later, the four are staring up at the clouds, and while the bullies see gruesome shapes in clouds, Bart sees a cloud shaped like the statue of Jebediah Springfield, only with his head cut off.

The bullies say that it would be cool if someone really did cut Jebediah's head off, and Bart begins to defend Springfield.

This causes the bullies to make fun of him and cast him away.
8. Which bowling-themed magazine does Homer read in this episode?

Answer: The Bowl Earth

Homer is reading about a bowling ball with a liquid center named 'The Stealth Bowler' before Bart wants to talk with him. Bart asks his father how far he should go to be popular, and Homer, trying to be a good father, tells Bart that popularity is everything. Homer just says that anything's okay as long as he doesn't kill anyone.

When the family is asleep, Bart cuts the head of Jebediah Springfield's statue.
9. As Bart crossed town the day after he destroyed Jebediah's statue, where did he hide the statue's head?

Answer: In his backpack

The morning after the incident, the town was shocked to find that someone had destroyed the statue of their beloved founder. Bart crosses town with the head in his backpack, seemingly able to heckle him along the way. When Bart comes across the bullies, they tell him that they'd pummel the sap who did the crime beause they realized that any man who could wrestle a bear could be cool.
10. Does Homer take responsibility for Bart's actions?

Answer: Yes

After discovering the consequences of sawing the statue's head off, Bart returns home and reveals that he cut Jedediah's head off. Homer decides to step up and explain to Marge that it was his fault for putting the idea into Bart's head, and he goes along with him to put it back.

This brings the story back to the lynch mob. In the end, the mob forgives Bart, and he places the head back onto the statue.
