Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. "Jane Goodall had to go to Africa to study chimps. I just had to go to dinner."

Answer: Adult Sheldon

Jim Parsons, who voiced adult Sheldon on "The Big Bang Theory", plays the same role on "Young Sheldon" except he's also playing the role of a narrator. We hear his voice but we don't see his face. In the Pilot episode, the family starts a food fight at dinner. Sheldon does not participate in the fight and adult Sheldon narrates with this quote.
2. "They could mistake me for a senior."

Answer: Mary

In "Rockets, Communists, and the Dewey Decimal System", Mary is concerned when Sheldon sits by himself at lunch. She decides that she's going to sit with him, but her husband stops her, warning her that kids will bully him if they see him sitting with his mom. Mary responds with this quote.
3. "Is that how we wound up with you?"

Answer: George

In "Demons, Sunday School, and Prime Numbers", Mary tells George and Mee Maw that Sheldon's "Dungeons and Dragons" book has chants that will summon actual demons. That's when George says this to Mee Maw. George and Mee Maw insult each other a lot.
4. "When they first invented bowling, they used to throw frozen turkeys at the pins. Eventually they switched to balls to cut down on the smell."

Answer: Mee Maw

In "Jiu-Jitsu, Bubble Wrap, and Yoo-Hoo", Mee Maw says this to Missy after Missy asks what a turkey is in bowling and why it's called a turkey. George asks her why she is lying. She says "I find it keeps my mind sharp."
5. "I can't tell you. There's no talking."

Answer: Dr. Sturgis

In "A Stunted Childhood and a Can of Fancy Mixed Nuts", Dr. Sturgis learns how to drive. First, he has to take a written test. He is told not to talk. Mee Maw asks him how the test is going. He responds with this quote, not realizing that he had to talk to say it.
6. "Are you kidding? My father pays me five dollars a week!"

Answer: Tam

In "A Loaf of Bread and a Grand Old Flag", Tam says this to a courtesy clerk at a convenience store after the clerk tells Sheldon that he only gets $3.35 an hour to stock shelves. Tam talks to himself about starting a labor union while Sheldon discovers the reason why the bread on his sandwich tasted different than it used to.
7. "Too bad he doesn't have any desirable qualities."

Answer: Missy

In "A Proposal and a Popsicle Stick Cross", Mary invites Veronica over to stay with the Coopers. Georgie tries to make himself more attractive for her to try to win her back. When Missy asks Sheldon what Georgie is doing, Sheldon tells her that he is trying to increase his desirable qualities. That's when Missy says this.
8. "My mom is on valium."

Answer: Billy

In "A Party Invitation, Football Grapes and an Earth Chicken", Billy says this to Sheldon while they hanging out in the chicken coop during Billy's birthday party. Sheldon, who was pretending to be Spock from "Star Trek", had just said "My mom is on Vulcan." Billy's quote is similar to a quote in the Bad Religion song "21st Century Digital Boy." That song came out in 1990, and this scene took place in 1991.
9. "I agree with the Beastie Boys. You gotta fight for your right to party."

Answer: Georgie

In "A Slump, a Cross and Roadside Gravel", Georgie says this to Sheldon when the two of them work together trying to mine platinum from roadside gravel and get rich. What Georgie doesn't know is, the Beastie Boys didn't actually believe this. The song was supposed to be ironic and Georgie is actually one of the people that the song is supposed to make fun of.
10. "Did you make this taste bad on purpose so dad would lose weight?"

Answer: Young Sheldon

In "An Academic Crime and a More Romantic Taco Bell", when Sheldon tells his dad that he's going to call Dr. Sturgis and call him a "Bonehead," his dad tells him that he doesn't need to be rude. Sheldon asks "When am I rude?" We then see three flashbacks that are supposed examples of Sheldon being rude, and this is one of them.
