Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. How many Golden Spatulas are required for the player to be able to enter the Goo Lagoon?

Answer: Ten

Five more than Downtown Bikini Bottom and five less than the Poseidome.
2. There is a main focus of every map in the game, and this one is no different. Who is SpongeBob predominantly seeking to aid here with a main quest?

Answer: Larry the Lobster

Larry, Goo Lagoon's lifeguard in the TV Show, is very distraught as SpongeBob enters the scene.
3. What is the main objective, the primary quest, of Goo Lagoon?

Answer: Return everyone's stolen sunscreen

Robots have invaded Goo Lagoon and stolen everyone's sunscreen. The main goal is to utilize the sun reflectors from the lifeguard towers in order to destroy the robots and return everyone's needed sunscreen.
4. One side quest administered by Mrs Puff is to "save the children." How can SpongeBob achieve this?

Answer: Popping their balloons

Several children have been somehow attached to a large amount of balloons which have carried them away. "Saving" them entails popping their balloons wherever you can, then watching them fall a far way back onto the ground. One of the children, upon having their balloons popped, falls into the Lagoon at a very deep end, with no lifeguard available to ensure their safety in such a position. Way to go, Mrs Puff!
5. At the Goo Lagoon pier, the person running it will unfortunately inform SpongeBob and/or Patrick that the pier has been closed due to a robot infestation. Who is running the pier?

Answer: Mr Krabs

Mr Krabs will assign the tandem of SpongeBob and Patrick the duty of defeating all of the robots which inhabit the bumper car area. Successfully doing so will prompt him to reward them with a Golden Spatula.
6. In the Goo Lagoon pier, speedrunners of this video game heavily rely on the Skee Ball game in order to facilitate their world-record completion of the game. Why is this?

Answer: It can earn them infinite shiny objects

When using Patrick, the player should look for a Stone Tiki to throw over towards the Skee Ball game. Once there, the player should then select a hole on the Skee Ball game to position the Stone Tiki in. The idea is to have the Tiki take up roughly 60% of the hole without falling inside of the hole.

After doing this, the player should switch to SpongeBob and throw a bubble bowl into the selected hole. Doing this will cause the bowl to be stuck between the Tiki and the hole. The bowl will rapidly ricochet off of the Tiki and side of the hole, causing it to continually register that it is falling inside of the hole over and over again, theoretically endlessly, and earn the player infinite shiny objects so long as they remain on the Goo Lagoon pier.

This is the fastest way possible to earn enough shiny objects to trade to Mr Krabs to receive eight Golden Spatulas, crucial to quickly finishing the game in world-record fashion.
7. Is there a boss at the end of the map?

Answer: No

This map was meant to more expose the more complex ways to make use of SpongeBob and Patrick's skillsets with a series of time trials. Thus, it never made room for a boss.
8. How many Golden Spatulas are available in the entire map?

Answer: Eight

This stems from a total of eight quests, most given as side quests.
9. How many of Patrick's socks are scattered around this map?

Answer: Eleven

Thus, there is an opportunity to acquire a Golden Spatula via finding at least ten of these eleven socks.
10. While there is the pier and the lagoon itself, there is also another large structure that the player can earn a Golden Spatula from, and must venture to to reach the end of the map. What structure is this?

Answer: Sand Castle

The Sand Castle is actually built to be a live-sized castle. Here, two Golden Spatulas can be earned.
