Answer: "Duck Hunt" (1984)

The biggest hated video game character is the hound dog because of his mocking laugh. This classic Nintendo game is as simple as making a peanut butter sandwich: you shoot the duck(s) that spring from the tall grass. Success results with the dog holding up the killed duck(s). Failure results in hearing that dog snicker at you for being a bad shot.

In retaliation, flash game designers made games where you shoot the dog. Inhumane, maybe, but it is a stress reliever.

2. Back in the 1990s, Konami was known for creating great side-scrolling game series like "Castlevania" and "Contra". There was also a western shooter that Konami developed. What game was it?

Answer: "Sunset Riders"

"Sunset Riders" came out in 1991. There is no real storyline, except that there are four cowboys to play. Your objective is to hunt outlaws and collect the rewards. There is no known information about US sales of the game for both Sega Genesis and Super Nintendo.

When you run out of time in the original "Time Crisis," it's game over. Worse off, even when you clear a section and get a time bonus, the time continues to run, even as you wait to open fire again. The sequels, fortunately, were not so soul crushing with the clock. The clock resets when you clear a section and if time does run out, you only lose a life.

Answer: "Resident Evil: the Umbrella Chronicles" (2007)

"Resident Evil: the Umbrella Chronicles" is not an arcade game. Yes, you do shoot the T-virus mutants that try to devour your characters, but it's only for the Nintendo Wii.

Answer: "The Adventures of Bayou Billy" (1989)

The game, developed by Konami that takes place in the swamplands of Louisiana, has Billy hunting down kidnappers who have captured his girl, Annabelle. It was the first time that a multi-genre game was made. Originally, the game was titled "Mad City" in Japan.

There are weapons that pack a punch, but the BFG 9000 is a game changer. This weapon's name is an abbreviation for "Big Force Gun." This gun can clear rooms with a single round in addition to having unlimited ammo. UGO ranked the BFG 9000 as the second best weapon, beaten by (get this,) the 4x1 block in "Tetris." If I can say it, that's a gust of wind of a new direction.

Named after the drivable tank, the "Metal Slug" series is most knowingly remembered for it's run-and-gun gameplay. Taking place in a rather post-apocalyptic Middle East and battling an army led by a Saddam Hussein-lookalike seemed to be the best way to fend off virtual terrorism. SNK released the "Metal Slug Anthology" in 2006, which includes "Metal Slug 1-6" with "Metal Slug X" and bonus content, like artwork and music from the games.

Answer: "007: Goldeneye" (1997)

Who knew that playing as James Bond, 007, with a license to kill while enjoying a shaken, not stirred Martini was a recipe for success? The people of the Rareware development team would answer that. Based on the Pierce Brosnan movie, the Nintendo 64 game had sold over eight million copies worldwide and was ranked as the number one first-person shooting video game of all time by Screwattack.

The Rare game from 1999 was a classic Nintendo hit, ranking 20th of the best N64 games of its time by Gamestats. When the game was released in Japan, it was renamed "Star Twins" due to difficulty of pronunciations.
