Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. How many puzzles are there in the game?

Answer: 135

There are 100 puzzles which can be found by talking to the citizens of St. Mystere and through the storyline. There are a further twenty puzzles which can be found by tapping on objects in the background. Finally, there are fifteen more challenging puzzles found by completing certain tasks.
2. What colour is the Laytonmobile?

Answer: Red

The Laytonmobile is built with a high ceiling to accommodate Layton's hat which he never takes off. Despite its good condition, Luke believes that nobody would want to steal it.
3. How many puzzles have a value of 99 Picarats?

Answer: Three

Puzzles #130, #131 and #135 are the only puzzles worth 99 Picarats. One could complete #131 through trial and error without losing any Picarats. The other two would be much harder to guess though.
4. Crouton gives you three pitcher puzzles. Which of the following is not one of them?

Answer: Wine

The pitcher puzzles involve three pitchers of different measurements. You are required to arrange the liquid so it is all contained in the larger two pitchers with equal amounts for both.
5. Of the thirty objects in the inn, how many go in Layton's room to ensure maximum happiness for both Layton and Luke?

Answer: Eighteen

It is very easy to get stuck thinking that both rooms require fifteen items. If you complete Luke's room, it is just a matter of finding out which objects do not affect his happiness and moving them over to Layton's room.
6. How many numbered floors are there in the tower before you reach the top?

Answer: Seven

The tower is rather oddly shaped. Most of the floors have a puzzle which must be solved in order to move up to the next floor.
7. Where was Baron Reinhold's fortune hidden?

Answer: Behind a portrait

Only the finder of the Golden Apple could acquire this treasure. After crash-landing from the tower, Layton found the way to the treasure. Once they had found it, they decided to leave it.
8. How many different areas can be accessed from the town plaza?

Answer: Six

From the plaza you can access the town entrance, park road, manor road and clock tower by walking straight to them. You can also access Granny R's and the town hall just by tapping on the door.
9. What is the maximum number of times that the reward for completing a puzzle can drop after incorrectly guessing the answer?

Answer: Twice

The amount it drops is usually 10%. For multiple choice puzzles, it is a much more significant value.
10. Which of the following is not the name of a puzzle?

Answer: Apples and Oranges

The correct name for the puzzle is "Apples to Oranges". It functions similarly to a sliding puzzle. You have apples on one side of the screen and oranges on the other side. You are required to move the apples and oranges across to the opposite side, despite very limited space. Thank you for playing my quiz and don't forget to rate it.
