Answer: Mario Mario

Mario had taken Donkey Kong in the past and his first RPG on the SNES was short and easy but satisfying. His last name Mario came from the movie "Super Mario Bros."
2. A hero who sets off on an adventure to save a stranger he just met. This character originally debuted on the Super Nintendo but reappeared in the "Final Fantasy Chronicles" for the Playstation.

Answer: Crono

Crono starts off in the present in his quest and eventually travels through several time periods. After traveling to the future, he realizes Lavos, the main bad guy, must be destroyed in the time period 1999 A.D. to prevent the Apocalypse.

Yes Cloud has appeared in "Final Fantasy 7," "Ehergeiz" (Zell's ultimate weapon) and "Kingdom Hearts." Cloud was supposed to destroy Sephiroth in "Final Fantasy 7." He was supposed to fight other Playstation characters in "Ehergeiz." And he was hired by Hades to destroy Sora in "Kingdom Hearts."

Terra has appeared in "Final Fantasy 3" a.k.a "Final Fantasy 6" and was put under control of the Empire by a slave crown. In the beginning of the game she is put in Magitek Armor, along with Wedge and Biggs, to communicate with the Esper Tritoch. She is one of the few characters who starts out with Magic as an attack command.

Sora came from the game "Kingdom Hearts," in which he was the chosen one for the Keyblade. Goofy and Donald fought along side him when Sora found that he needed to defeat the Heartless along with several other Disney villains such as Captain Hook and Ursula.

Sephiroth the villain in "Final Fantasy 7" also appeared in "Kingdom Hearts" voiced by Lance Bass. Sephiroth in "Final Fantasy 7" weilded the sword Masamune and had three forms at the end of the game. In his last form, Cloud defeats Sephiroth using the Omnislash Limit Break.
