Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Which two characters have the move Hadoken?

Answer: Ken and Ryu

Ken and Ryu are both exponents of the "Hadoken", which is a fireball that travels across the screen. A lot of people use this to exploit the jumping game, in which they follow up with a "Shoryuken".
2. Which fighter has a very long reach, a fiery mouth, and is an exponent of Yoga?

Answer: Dhalsim

Dhalsim is one of my favourite characters because of his long stretching limbs and checking game. Dhalsim shoots a ball of flame from his mouth. His alternative, the Yoga Flame, is a move particularly useful against incoming projectiles and opponents.
3. How many countries in "Street Fighter II: World Warrior" have more than one character representing it?

Answer: Three

These places are: USA, with three characters (Ken, Guile, Balrog); Japan, with two (Ryu, E. Honda), and Thailand with two (Sagat, M. Bison). Exclusions are: China (Chun Li), USSR (Zangief), Brazil (Blanka), India (Dhalsim), and Spain (Vega).
4. There was a character in "Street Fighter: The Movie" going by the name of Blade, but there was another game he appeared in, and he went by another name. What was the name and the game?

Answer: "Gunloc" in the "Slammaster" series

Funny coincidence isn't it? This can be found out if you're patient enough to complete the game with him. Kabal, Hanzo, and Takuma are from games with totally different companies, so they should of course be excluded from the list.
5. How many characters from "Final Fight" appear as playable characters in "Street Fighter Alpha 3"?

Answer: Four

They are: Guy, Cody, Sodom and Rolento. Guy and Cody, along with Haggar were playable characters in "Final Fight", while Sodom and Rolento were boss characters you had to fight in "Final Fight".
6. In a release of "Street Fighter II: The World Warrior", there was a character that had 'special powers.' This included the ability to throw their opponents 'invisibly', the option to stop motion in a particular stance, and the ability to 'freeze' the opponent. Who was this character?

Answer: Guile

A lot of people say that this is just a myth, but it is actually possible. Guile can do all of these abilities, but you need a little practice to be able to pull them off. What I would like to call the "Golden Stance" is pretty easy, just pull back, wait for the opponent to get close, press the Fierce Kick and just before the animation finishes, press forward + Fierce Punch. I'm not gonna give away anything else.

There are some other people who have special 'glitch' moves, but none who have as much 'glitchiness' as Guile.
7. Which "Street Fighter" game first introduced super specials?

Answer: "Super Street Fighter II: Turbo"

Surprisingly enough, this was also the first game to officially introduce Akuma (a.k.a Gouki), which responded to rumors about the master of Ryu and Ken, who goes by the name of Sheng Long. This also introduced air juggles, overhead attacks and new features like new animations and soundtracks.
8. This character was first introduced in the game "Street Fighter Alpha: Warriors' Dreams" and was considered a joke. Sporting a pink Gi outfit and having some of the weakest moves in Street Fighter history did not help his matters in trying to become a first rate fighter. Who is he?

Answer: Dan

Dan has appeared in many Street Fighter and "vs." series games and was made as a parody of some of the fighters created in the "King Of Fighters" series. Some of his moves aren't totally bad but he leaves a lot to be desired.
9. How many original "Street Fighter" characters appear in the game "Marvel vs. Capcom 2"?

Answer: 12

They are: Akuma, Cammy, Charlie, Chum Li, Dan, Dhalsim, Guile, Ken, M. Bison, Ryu, Sakura and Zangief. The game itself featured a new button system (2 punches, 2 kicks, and 2 assist buttons), an astonishing 56 characters from the Marvel and Capcom universe, and a nasty end boss by the name of Abyss.
10. How many original "Street Fighter" characters appear in the game "Namco x Capcom"?

Answer: Twelve

Wow! They are: Akuma, Cammy, Chun Li, Evil Ryu, Juli, Juni, Karin, Ken, M. Bison, Rose, Ryu, and Sakura. One who came close was Guy ("Street Fighter Alpha 3"), but he was excluded because he was originally in "Final Fight". "Namco x Capcom" was released only in Japan, so everybody else misses out (including myself).
