In this game, Link, a young fairy boy must get a stone from inside a tree. He leaves his home forest and best friend, Saria to save the land. He meets Princess Zelda and Impa, who tell him to get the two other stones. Link suceeds, but when going to meet Princess Zelda, he finds her and Impa fleeing on a horse away from the evil Ganondolf. Link turns in to an adult and powers himself up to defeat Ganondorf and rescue Zelda.

A boy from the future tells Goku that Android 17 and 18 will come and destroy the world. Goku, Vegeta, Gohan, Piccolo, Yamcha, Krillin and Tien train for three years for the battle, but two different Androids arrive.

After these are defeated, the ones from the future appear, along with Cell, the 21st Android. Cell absorbs the other Androids and becomes very powerful, but he is defeated by Gohan.
