Located within this desert is the Goddess of Sand, the resting home of the Spirit Temple and two witches. Link must hookshot himself over a sea of quicksand (only discovering that he must also follow an invisible ghost in order to reach the Spirit Temple). But, in order to even access the desert, Link will have to become a Gerudo thief himself, dodging female guards and battling Gerudo ninjas. If Link gets caught by a female guard (or if he finds himself being held under a special sword trick that the Gerudo ninjas possess) he will be thrown into a jail. To exit, Link simply has to hookshot his way up onto a ledge by finding a wooden gutter.

Here is the full list of locations and heart pieces. Some hearts require either Adult Link or Child Link to collect them. Others are possible with either version of Link. Hyrule Field: Two Hearts. Either Link can collect both. Lon Lon Ranch: One heart. You must use Young Link to obtain this heart piece. Kakariko Village: Eight hearts. Either Link can collect four of the hearts from the Village. One heart piece requires Young Link, and the remaining three require Adult Link. Death Mountain Trail: One Heart. After planting a magic bean as a child, Adult Link can climb the bean stock to get the heart. Zora's River: Four Hearts. Young Link can obtain two of these hearts. Adult Link and Young Link can get the other two. Zora's Domain: One Heart. You must use Young Link. Zora's Fountain: Two Hearts. Both hearts require Adult Link. Ice Cavern: One Heart. You must use Adult Link. Hyrule Market: Three Hearts. All three require Young Link. Lost Woods: Two Hearts. As either Link you play mini games with Skull Kids to get the pieces of heart. Death Mountain Crater: Two Hearts. Either Link can get these. Goron City: One Heart. Either Link can get this. Lake Hylia: Three Hearts. Young Link must catch a ten pound fish. Adult Link must get the other two pieces of heart. Gerudo Valley: Two Hearts. You must use Adult Link for one. The second either Link can obtain. Desert Colossus: One Heart. Another magic bean heart piece. Link plants the magic bean as a child and as an adult he can get the heart piece.

Ganon's weak point is his tail (and he can be stunned with a Light Arrow); Ganondorf, can only be defeated by volleying his shots, shooting him with a light arrow, and then dicing him up. Also, Volvagia's weak point is his head (hit with the Megaton Hammer). Shadow Link is the final character. This Water Temple mini-boss can be defeated one of two ways: a. do forward stabs (up+a) with the Biggoron's Sword. b. attack with the Megaton Hammer. Just remember that each time you hit him, he'll reappear and try to hit you in the back. Just turn around real quick, target him, and hit him again. He basically justs waits for you to hit him. Important note: DO NOT USE THE MASTER SWORD. Shadow Link will parry all of your attacks.

Deku Seeds can be found on the ground (dropped from enemies), in small bushes, and in shops. Although you start out with thirty Deku Seeds, you can upgrade the satchel to hold up to fifty seeds. The Fairy Slingshot is only usable as a child, but it's soon replaced by the Fairy Bow, found in the Forest Temple. You can find the Fairy Slingshot within the Great Deku Tree.

When Gohma's eye turns red, take out the Fairy Slingshot and shoot directly into Gohma's eye. When this is done, Gohma will be rendered harmless, and you'll be able to attack her with your sword. If you manage to do a few jump attacks with your sword, Gohma should be dead in no time, although the Great Deku Tree won't quite be saved.

When I, knowing basic Hebrew and the books of the TaNaKh, first saw the name of this fairy, I saw an immediate connection to the Hebrew word... "Navi"- meaning prophet. In my personal experience, Navi has gotten a little annoying, and her prophetic presentations need some work. In fact, my funniest story about Navi was during Dodongo's Cavern. Link was in the main room with a bomb-flower in his hand. However, right before the bomb-flower was about to explode, Navi decided to lecture about "the dangers of lava". In the middle of this useful lesson, the bomb-flower exploded and Link went careening into a chasm of lava.

Navi does help, even if she nags. There are two reasons I can put up with her: z-target and this Navi-cam ride. She lives with the Deku Tree and acts as his messenger, because he is a tree and rather...stationary. She returns to live with the Deku Sprout, but that's much later. All Kokiri have a fairy, and one of the magical things about them is you see the fairy long before you see the Kokiri.
