Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Throughout the quest in "Ocarina of Time", you come across multiple events that include cuccos or eggs. So, in the game as a whole, which came first (into your inventory), the cucco or the egg?

Answer: Egg

The first item received as a youth from Malon in Castle Town Market is an egg. Though it eventually becomes a cucco, the first of the two is the egg.
2. Throughout your travels you will come across one-eyed rocks that both tell time and hold secrets. These are called gossip stones. How many gossip stones reside just outside the entrance to the Temple of Time?

Answer: Four

There are four in a row just up the first staircase. All of the stones there and abroad provide some helpful hints when you possess the Mask of Truth.
3. In an attempt to flee the devastation of Ganondorf's destruction around Hyrule Castle, the market folk have migrated to Kakariko when you return as an adult. Which of them gives a hint with regards to a nearby item that can aid your quest?

Answer: The Laughing Men

When addressing the two men, the petrified of the brothers will tell you of seeing Dampe's ghost in the graveyard, as well as the interesting treasure he possessed. The other laughs him off, not knowing the truth of the whole matter.
4. The Happy Mask trading sequence is a good way to meet new characters in the game, get some helpful masks, and pad the wallet. However, which of these characters underpays you for your kind services?

Answer: The Skull Kid

The Skull Kid is the only one that does not pay equal or greater value for the mask. He is located just left of the main entrance to the Lost Woods. Not that you can knock the guy, he lives alone in a forest playing the flute all day. I doubt rupees are very plentiful.
5. In your older days, the carpenters have moved to Gerudo Village from their roaming and lazy lifestyle in Kakariko. How many carpenters made the journey from the town to the valley?

Answer: Five

There are five in total. Don't forget to count the leader at the entrance to the fortress where the other four are held. He may be the boss, but I imagine he'd be a bit ticked if you said he wasn't one of them.
6. Delving beneath the well can be a terrifying experience as a youngster. It is possible to bypass the map/compass process and simply collect the Lens of Truth while avoiding certain terror. If you choose to endure, one small key room contains a set of giant coffins. What resides in these coffins?

Answer: Keese

The Keese pop out with some extreme vigor as the coffin tops fling aside. The room is just off to the left, and offers no other help other than the small key. Back in my day, it was easier to just run to the back, play the song, lower the water, and get the Lens than mess with it.
7. There are two notable heart pieces in Kakariko Village, one in a cage with a cow, the other with a friendly man on a rooftop. Which of them is attainable before traversing Death Mountain?

Answer: Both

With some expert cucco work, you can reach either of them. The first can be reached from high atop the ledge behind the windwill or with some strategy from the construction site. The second can be reached again from the ledge, or with a good sideways evade jump from the peak of the watch tower lookout.
8. In the Water Temple you will enter a large room with a lone dead tree in the middle of a watered down floor. In this room resides one of the most difficult mini-bosses in the game. Dark Link can be even more of a difficult competition than some of the main bosses. Which of these weapons is ineffective in battering the mirror image into submission?

Answer: Bow and Arrow

The Megaton Hammer and Din's Fire are suggested methods of downing the foe, but with a few fairies and some masterful moves with the blade, it is possible to go one on one with the dark soul and win. Arrows, however, have no effect, as his shield is just as fast as your own.
9. During your ferry ride down the invisible river in the Shadow Temple, you are accosted by first a single, then a pair of Stalfos Knights. What happens if you don't defeat them?

Answer: You must jump ship while under attack.

Rather than get overly distracted with the Stalfos fight and risk being out of position for the jump ashore, you can simply defend yourself with the shield and await Navi's words to jump. You'd be under attack while doing so, but it would be better than falling into the abyss.
10. The final battle in against Ganondorf atop his tower is quite the struggle. If you're unlucky enough to be knocked from the peak, it is a long way back up, and sometimes only leads to a return visit to the bottom after Ganondorf's pound attack. However, some helpful jars below can help replenish some things. What, however, will it not aid in replenishing?

Answer: Hearts

Though the supplies are plentiful, Ganon's Tower shows no love to the injured warrior. Hopefully you have fairies and potions aplenty, because this Gerudo's contributions are naught.
